[Smooth(y) Love]
Percy x Nico
Percy didn't know how many days it had been since he'd walked to the store behind Half-Blood School to buy a smoothie like this. If it weren't for his good friend Grovir, it wouldn't have happened. This is it...
The smoothie shop he was talking about was just recently opened and had a slightly punk and rock style. When Percy first saw the shop, he didn't have much interest in it because The nature of the shop didn't belong to him until one day, his friend Grover invited him to go there.
Percy remembered that it was the hottest day in months and that he had gym class. Percy's throat was as parched as the Sahara Desert and it seemed that his friend was as well.
"Hey Percy, I heard that there's a new water shop behind school. Would you be interested?"
Percy then thought back to that strange shop. On one hand he didn't want to go there because his tastes were completely different from that shop, but on the other hand he wished that his parched throat could have an oasis. A little would be nice and Percy agreed. That was the beginning of what happened...
At the end of their last gym class, Percy and Grover could hardly speak. They put their things in their lockers before dragging themselves out of the school and heading towards their destination when they arrived at the grocery store. What Percy felt when he entered the store was the sound of rock music that still rings in his ears to this day. The atmosphere was perfect for a true rocker. Which isn't him at all.
"Hey Percy, I think I saw an empty seat. Come along."
At first, Percy was about to excuse himself because the noise was starting to make his ears ring, but when he saw that his best friend walked inside, hoping to get a glass or two to enjoy after the lesson ended, He had been struggling for so long that he couldn't deny Grover's hope.
Not long after they lowered their bongs to the soft, black sofa, a slightly older female employee walked over to get the menus. She had jet black hair, pale skin, and a quiet smile that made Percy think that if he said something that didn't please her, the glass soda bottle on the table would be a good tool for her.
"Um, I'm sorry. It's just that my friend and I, erm ... this is the first time I've come here. ...Is there any menu you recommend?"
Percy tried to smile in a friendly way, but it didn't seem to help much because the muscles in the female employee's face didn't show any signs of moving, but thankfully she still spoke back.
"Our shop has everything. I just want you to order.”
"Okay." This was starting to get tense and Percy turned to look at his good friend sitting across from him, hoping that he could help him out of this awkward situation. He just ordered Percy a few glasses of water. I don't understand how something like this could happen. If you, he means the waitress, would have smiled a little more, it would have been better.
"I'd like a latte, please," Grover ordered casually, leaving Percy tense with the look of the female attendant.
" ...blue means I want to eat something blue." Percy then thought about smacking himself a hundred times. He didn't mean to annoy him, but because he was used to being with his mother, he often did. There's always something blue to eat, so it always sticks to me. At first, Percy thought he might have been hit by the soda bottle on the table, as he thought, but the young woman and the waitress just stared blankly before casting out a menu of various waters, which Percy was sure were all... The drink was definitely blue, but sadly he only heard a few names.
“So, what do you want to order?” she asked after finishing the menu and glancing at his student name tag. "...Mr. Jackson"
Percy hadn't wanted to eat anything special, at least not since he'd walked into the restaurant. He decided to pick one random food item that he listened to before telling the waitress and she walked back behind the counter.
“Damn it, are you trying to kill me with your eyes? It's really scary.”
"Come on Percy, at least we can get some water to drink." After saying that, Grover sat there chilling, squinting at the girls from other schools who either came to patronize the shop or just wandered in like the two of them.
The awkward situation just now caused Percy to feel the need to release himself so he excused himself to the bathroom. Actually, he had been holding back since physical education class, but thinking about his cracked throat made his urge to go to the bathroom decrease sharply, and then it returned when he encountered the situation just now.
Percy thought that the misfortunes for today were enough with the misfortune. He just wanted to drink a normal drink without the waiter staring at him when he ordered or wanting to go to the bathroom but not really getting him. Percy wasn't a complaining guy but the last half of the day was really too much. But then. Percy's request wasn't fulfilled when he bumped into him and a boy his own age.
“Hey!!!” he shouted before he could change direction. The young man stumbled towards the storage crates on the side of the road in the direction he crashed into, but due to the force of the collision and the weak cardboard crates, Nearly ten crates fell out of nowhere, causing a deafening sound to be heard before it quieted down like a pestle had been blown.
“What happened when you died?!”
“Um…it was an accident.”
"Mr. Jackson," she called him coldly.
"I can explain..." He didn't even finish his sentence when the female employee walked past him like a mist, towards the young man he had just bumped into. Percy turned to look. He follows behind, hoping to apologize, but then catches the eye of the young man he just bumped into.
His raven black hair shone brightly in the bathroom light. His papery white skin was a stark contrast to his hair color. Pitch black eyes that it was hard to know what he was feeling were looking at him. Then time stopped completely because Percy thought he was falling madly in love with this strange man.
"Hey Nico, you're okay, you're not hurt, right?" Percy watched the conversation in silence, waiting to see his reaction.
"I'm fine. What are you doing behind the store?"
“Dare to ask, the noise reaches the front of the store. I'm the owner of the shop, so I have to come take a look.”
“You go back to the front of the store, Bianca, in case Hazel and Frank come and find him.”
"Wait a minute, I'm going to... “ She turned sharply towards Percy in such a way that it made his own spine shiver as the look in her eyes was pure murder. She looked at him blankly before walking towards Percy, thinking that maybe she would just walk in and slap him because she saw him knock her boyfriend over and hit those cardboard boxes, but not yet. It didn't make Percy depressed as much as he thought that Nico had a girlfriend and he was stupid. But then Bianca's next words made him jump again.
“Why did you come and bump into my brother?”
“Bianca, it was an accident. It's all right…” But Bianca wasn't listening at all.
“What if he gets hurt? And what about these things that are damaged? What do you say, Mr. Jackson?”
Percy knew that arguing with a woman wasn't easy, especially with a woman who was protecting her younger brother. Not to mention, if she could get him to speak with a toilet brush, he would. Then he looked at the damage around him. before deciding something
“I will work to compensate for the damage I have done myself.”
Bianca tilted her head to look at Percy before laughing softly, “What is a face like you doing in a smoothie shop? Do you know how to use a blender, young man?”
The insult made Percy's blood boil, but he couldn't hold back his anger. But in the meantime, he thought of a brilliant plan: “Then, I admit that I might not be good at making water or anything like that, but oh well. People are talented, but when were they born? It must have been practiced before.”
"already?"
“Like I said, we all have teachers. You can just get some people from the shop to teach me,” he said, turning to look at Nico.
"What are you trying to say, Jackson?" The pronouns that he addressed him changed, making Percy realize that Bianca was beginning to catch on to him as well. What kind of sense do women have? Is it everyone? Or is it just the older sister who is about to find out that some crazy guy from nowhere is falling in love with her brother from bumping into each other until the cardboard boxes collapse and is about to take advantage of this opportunity to flirt with her younger sibling? Oh, that's not romantic, Percy thought.
“Well, if you don't want to teach me that, shouldn't your younger brother probably do it? What the heck is this thing? What do you say? Are you going to let me go like this? Let it float like this. Not responsible for anything.”
“Jackson!!!”
"That's enough Bianca, let him go."
“...Nico.”
“Because I don't want to teach him either because I---“
"Even though you don't want to teach me, I want to take responsibility. So next time, if I mess up again, I can walk away with peace of mind, right?" Percy pressed the other man with all his might until finally The cow let out a disgusted breath.
“One week,” Nico said.
"For what?" Percy asked.
“Do an internship and take responsibility for what you do.”
“Nico, you can't do this!!!”
Nico didn't say anything but looked disgusted before walking over and patting Bianca on the shoulder twice and walking away. Bianca was angry. But she couldn't do anything because he was the one who gave in and she just stared at Mr. Jackson's green-eyed face. Because she knew what Jackson thought of her younger sibling, the way he looked at Nico was clear. Even though she doesn't really want to be associated with love at first sight, but even if it were true, she wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
After returning from the incident, he told Grover but not all of it, at least the part where time stopped because every time he spoke he became embarrassed. Grover only knew that he was coming to work at This is to replace only the damage.
But a week passed quickly like a lie, and he only came to help after school, just like Nico, which made the time even shorter. Actually, Nico was studying again, but because the end time was close together, As a result, he starts working with Nico all the time, and he doesn't even know he's being flirted with. In fact, no one except Bianca knows.
Until the last day of work, Bianca couldn't stand him, so she called him into the room behind the counter to talk.
"Percy" Because they were becoming a bit close, Bianca called him his first name instead of his last name.
“So, what did you call me for?”
"Actually, it's about Nico."
"oh..."
“Are you really going to flirt with my little brother?”
“That's about it.”
"What is it like? The answer I give you is yes or no. Come on, choose."
“...Yes.” At first, Percy thought he might get punched in the face, but the person in front of him only let out a sigh. Bianca looked at him with the utmost pity.
"Percy, you know what kind of person Nico is, right?" Percy thought of what Bianca had said. Nico is a quiet person who doesn't talk much. It's like there's another world covering him. For the past week, Percy has tried to flirt with Nico in every way, both openly and unknowingly, but he has kept his composure. It was scary until the last day he worked, which is today.
“What I'm saying is that the shiny lace like a girl flirting with a guy or a guy flirting with a girl can't do anything to my sister. Do you think that there has never been anyone like you before? The last person gave his all. But I didn't really support him, so I didn't give any advice. I'm at the same school as you and that's what Jason's name is." Bianca said.
“Then why did you tell me?”
“Look, I have a younger brother alone, you know that, right? So I had to choose the best for him.”
"I understand... So you're going to tell me to give up?"
“I set the qualifications for Nico's boyfriend in my head, but actually you didn't even pass when you became one. But, come on, this past week you've made me see a lot of things about you, so I'm just going to pretend like you're a man.”
“Show me…”
"I'm going to help you flirt with him." Percy's heart seemed to jump when he heard that sentence. In fact, he was secretly afraid that it was because of Bianca that he wasn't able to flirt with Nico. But if the other party doesn't seem to have any feelings for him, that's a good thing.
“But don't be too happy, I just said I'll help. But whether you flirt or not think about it, that is up to you.”
"And Jason, why aren't you rooting for him?"
"I just found out that he already has a girlfriend. A girlfriend."
“Piper”
“Do you know me?”
“To some extent, both Jason and Piper.”
“Then that's good. I hope you succeed.”
“So, aren't you going to give me some advice?”
“Do you like swimming?”
“I am the captain of the swimming club team.”
"Oh, that's your luck."
"Why"
“Nico can't swim and he wants to. But he was afraid too. He used to swim in the water when he was a kid.”
“And that is...”
“I want you to teach my little sister to swim.”
“Are you… serious?”
“Yes, leave this room. Then go tell Nico that I want him to take swimming lessons with you.”
"Hey... But, isn't this kind of tied up?" Percy was afraid he'd make Nico hate him even more.
"Believe me, you should flirt, not flirt."
“Flirt!!!” Then he ran out of the room.
“Good luck, Mr. Jackson,” Bianca said softly after seeing the back of the person she helped exit the door.
“Nico,” he called out to Nico, who was now wiping a tall glass for a drink. Nico turned to look at his face and he made an expression that said, “Do you have something?”
“Bianca told me to come take swimming lessons with me.”
"what!!!"
“You heard me right.”
"but-----"
"Then I'm going. I'll come see you tomorrow. See you later."
Percy ran out of the shop, forgetting everything. Even though it seemed like a bit of a bust, at least there was still a little bit of a chance for him to do something that would increase his chances, he thought. Feeling good while listening to soft music.
hello bright tomorrow
"When you called Percy in just now, what was he talking about?"
“Don't worry.
You didn't tell him that you were trying to find a way to let him know that you liked him. Hurry and clean up the shop, Nico. I think we have a lot of things to do tomorrow.”
FINN(?)
Torque at the end of the story: I'm dead. What the hell did I dress up like? I mean, we're not people who can write short fiction. I know today, haha. Thank you to everyone who came to read. Well, there are very few of these fics in Thailand. A small boat must struggle to stay afloat. Anyway, thank you to everyone who has come to read. That is, at first I was going to be like
Have Pervey flirt with Nico in just one fic shot. But we're not very good at it at all. It will be a lesson. Anyway, we can stick together. Well, when I put it on, it tends to be a mess. To be honest, thank you ><
