Fic Zootopia [Nick x Judy]

Agent Judy Hopps is in trouble.

He noticed that she had been worrying about something for a few weeks now. It seemed like it was about him that he often heard her say his name when she talked to herself.

And that led Officer Nicholas Weil to urgently investigate the matter.

"Judy, let's go to work!" the young fox said as he knocked rapidly on Judy Hopps' office door as she liked to do. Recently, she often comes to rest at the office instead of her room due to problems with her next door friend.

“Judy, are you asleep?” He peered between the doorknobs, but he couldn't find anything, so he tried to bend the knob to look.

Judy Hopps was sleeping...it seemed like the case she received yesterday had made her so tired that even the knock on the door couldn't be heard.

"You sleepy rabbit. The turtle will overtake you,” he said with amusement before sitting down in the chair across from her table.

Judy was asleep. She was slumped against the table and breathing in louder than usual. Maybe because he was slumped against the table, it was difficult to breathe. Or because you can't control yourself while you sleep.

Nick waited with his chin in his mouth. It had been five minutes since he'd been staring at her since he walked into the room. Even putting a feather on her table to disturb her still didn't wake her up.

Nick leaned back in his chair. Looks like the assigned work has been delayed. He looked around the room. And finally he saw a pile of documents lying on the floor. Judy seemed to finish and took a nap. But it turned out to be serious.

"What are you doing so hard, Carrot?"

He smiled before deciding to get up and walk to the front of the room.

Judy rested her head on her hands and feet against the table. It seems that because falling asleep during this period makes her feel tired. Nick thought as he went to get a water bottle from the refrigerator and opened it for the rabbit to sleep with.

"And what time is it now?"

Nick closed the lid.

"It's five ten." He placed her glass of water on the table. Judy picked up the glass and looked up at Nick with blurry eyes.

"So it's been ten minutes already?"

"That's right."

Judy took a drink of cold water after Nick responded. And she put the glass down when she finished drinking it.

"...." Nick looked down at the little rabbit who didn't have any expression. Normally, she would be in a hurry to run and...

"Ten minutes late!!!!!!!?"

And Nick, startled by her outcry, retreats to the filing cabinet. He watched as Judy started running back and forth to find her uniform and things for her shift, yelling that it was getting late.

Nikom smiled and walked to the door to wait because she didn't want to see the rabbit girl changing clothes in front of her.

It wasn't long before Judy emerged from the room, her head covered in fur and long french bun shaped ears bouncing on top of her head.

"Why didn't you come to me in the first place!?"

She huffed before lowering her ears and putting on a police helmet instead. Nick, who was following him, raised his eyebrows a bit before pulling out his own hat and putting it on.

“I accidentally sat in a coffee shop for too long. I'm sorry, Carrot."

Nick told a big lie. In fact, he had just reported to Inspector Bogo about another case. By the time he finished, it was already four o'clock.

"Oh, that can't be used!" Judy moaned angrily. The little rabbit girl walked towards their personal car and got into the driver's seat. "Hurry up! We're late!”

"Yes, I know, Agent Judy," Nick said with a raised chin before jumping onto the other seat. And Judy began driving at patrol speed.

They drive around their assigned zone. There were no strange events today. Therefore, they had a relaxed attitude.

As for Nick, he could only wonder where Judy's sudden outcry had gone.

Maybe she's on time. Or maybe she just wanted to drive. Which is a pity that Nick doesn't know how to drive.

“Carrot, are you interested in that cake shop over there?” Nick asked, pointing to a cake shop a few blocks away from them. Judy wiggled her ears a little.

“No...no. We need to check on you, Nick,” the girl said, pretending to drive. But Nick waved his hand.

"Come on, Carrots. There's nothing at all today. I know you miss carrot cake,” Nick said, smiling. "I know you like carrot cake."

Judy pursed her lips tightly. It looks like she's holding back the most. That made Nick start to build even more.

“Oh, look! Is that the last piece of carrot cake!?”

"I understand, Nick! You can park!" Judy said before turning the car into park. When you look closely, you can see saliva at the corner of her mouth. "Then I'll go down..."

“I'll go down and buy it myself!” Nick said before opening the door, getting out of the car and running out. He ran and disappeared into the store. After a while, he came out with a whole pound of cake.

"What? Why did you have to buy so many?" Judy squinted her eyes in disbelief. The young fox smiled.

“How about you share it with others? Or in case you don't have time for something like this,” he said after placing the cake box on the back seat. It's not enough to fasten your seat belt.

"Thank you, but is there something hidden in buying me a cake?"

Nick winced, his lips pursed before he looked back and forth. And it certainly didn't escape Agent Hopp's notice.

"Where~? smart fox father What do you want?”

Judy smiled mischievously. And it got even more heartening when Nick started to panic.

"Uh..." He scratched the back of his head before looking back and forth. "It's..."

"I'd like to share the cake into 6 quarters..."

Judy looked at Nick half-heartedly.

"Then why do you have to stutter?" Then she got out of the car.

“Well, Carrot, you really like carrot cake. Plus, this shop's cakes are extremely delicious. What if I accidentally eat too much and you complain later?”

"Never mind it. It's just a cake. You can buy another one later."

"But this one is also limited edition."

"Let's give it 2/8."

Inside the car, there was silence again. The two didn't say anything, just listened to the music and kept looking out the car window.

The car drove past the cake shop for the second time. Judy made precise turns in the area she had been assigned to patrol without leaving the area because she was afraid it might clash with patrol cars in other areas.

"It's so boring," Nick said.

"Yes, it's boring, there's nothing to do," Judy said, smiling. "But this is good."

The young fox said simply before he leaned his chin on the armrest.

"By the way, Carrot, what are you worrying about these days?"

Judy's ears perked up.

"I feel like you're worried about something."

Little rabbit pouted.

"There isn't any."

Nick smiled and reached for the cake from the backseat and took a bite.

“You can't shut me out, Carrots. Please tell me."

Nick said, chewing and wriggling. Judy held out her hand as if to say please. And he gave her another one.

"So...I..." Judy pursed her lips. "I'm...in love..."

Nick rolled his eyes in shock and involuntarily gasped as he swallowed the cake. This caused him to violently choke on the fluffy snack.

"Just!!!"

"Nick!? Is something wrong? Is there water!?” Judy's eyes widened and she grabbed the water bottle that was in the car and gave it to the young fox. He quickly picked it up and drank it until he was fine as usual.

"look for? you? Who do you love? Are there any known rabbits around here?” Nick said curtly after choking down a large piece of cake. Judy pursed her lips before wiggling the finger that was holding the car's steering wheel.

"Well, I don't like rabbits..." she said softly. "Well, I like different kinds..."

Nick swallowed everything down in his throat. He looked at the water bottle in his hand before closing the cap.

"already? Why? Can different breeds be registered?” he said softly. I feel so depressed in my chest that I don't want to speak anymore.

"No...it's..." Judy slammed on the brakes as she came upon a red traffic light. She slumped against the steering wheel. "I...want to have a child..."

Nick's eyes closed, his hands in his lap and he seemed to be starting to feel the urge to get away.

"Uh...that's..." Nick forced a wry smile. He didn't understand why he had to use the word forced smile. As long as Judy is happy that's enough.

"That's what worries me..." Judy smiled. "I think...if it's really a problem...I might reconsider liking rabbits again."

Nick pursed his lips.

“Come on, Carrot. You know who you love.” The fox smiled before he handed her another piece of cake. "There's a long way to go until we get married, Carrot. Let's try it and see first...if..."

Nick swallowed a lump in his throat and struggled to speak.

"If the time comes for you guys to get married...if I were you... Until then, we can take care of abandoned children.”

He smiled, assuming the role of the greatest counselor in his own eyes. He saw Judy staring at him with clear rabbit eyes. It was so innocent and bright that he had to avert his eyes.

"Nick..."

"oh! I completely forgot about carrots! I made an appointment with a friend to go to a party after work. Oh, it's already 6 o'clock. I've been off work for two hours now! I completely forgot! Then I leave the rest to you, Carrot!”

Nick said in a loud voice, cutting off the little rabbit's face. Before he could unbuckle the safety belt and open the door, he sprinted across the street without giving Judy a moment to protest.

The sound of honking from behind sounded. Startled, Judy looked at the green light and drove straight ahead.

Nick ran and hid behind a building. He gasped a bit before continuing to walk.

Judy was the one who dug him out of his bad life...

She brought him from the deepest mire.

She made his life as good as it is today.

She was like his light...

The young fox's feet stopped moving. He stopped walking behind his regular restaurant.

He couldn't have imagined...that he would be this attached to her.

The young fox sat down quietly.

"It's really bad..."

He muttered before raising his arms to shield his eyes.

The next day Nick returned to work as usual. He thought he would avoid Judy for a while besides when we were working together. He knew her steps. Just listening, I knew that it was her who was walking. Or even just his shadow, he's ready to open and attach.

Nick placed his bag on the table before opening it, pulling out the paperwork he needed to do and placing it on the table to say he was finished. And of course he would have stayed at the coffee shop next door instead of sitting there waiting for Judy...

But this is not so. That's when Judy opened the door.

Judy's ears perked up before she smiled at him.

"Hey Nick, was the party fun last night?" Judy asked.

"Um...that guy canceled," Nick replied before lightly scratching the back of his neck. The little rabbit looked up at him.

"But where are you going?"

Nick rolled his eyes. He was trying to avoid something.

Nick stuttered in response. Judy nodded slightly.

“Then please buy me some tea. I'll share the cake right now."

Ah...he really can't get away from her. Nick scratched his head.

"I understand...Okay, Carrot."

He nodded his head and walked out, walking down to buy coffee and tea from the shop, looking a little unenthusiastic.

He returned to his office. Judy was putting cake on a plate. When she saw him walking, she excitedly put the plate on the table.

“Come on,” she said in a very happy tone. Nick sighed and placed the glass on the gray fur rabbit's table and walked back to his own table.

He said nothing as he drank coffee and carrot cake. But Judy kept on chatting as if something would happen tomorrow.

Nick had already eaten half of the cake. He felt extremely disgusted by it.

“Carrot, I think I...oops!?” And then Nick felt something hard swirl in his mouth, mixing with the cake. He hurriedly spat it out, feeling that it was something big enough to cause his windpipe to close. I thought to myself, would a bakery that makes good desserts leave these kinds of scraps attached?

But then he stopped when he saw how shiny it was. Something that isn't an eggshell It's not rubble or anything. But it was a smooth ring with his name engraved on it.

"Huh?" Did he make a face? I'm still confused about what happened to this life. And immediately he received an answer.

When Judy picked up two blue velvet boxes, one was empty. But the other box had another, smaller ring with Judy's name engraved on it.

"carrot...? Is this...?”

"Marry me, Nick!"

Nick gasped.

“L...What about the guy you like, Carrot!? A young man of a different species than you!?”

Nick opened his mouth and pointed back and forth. Judy blinked back at the memory before her cheeks puffed out.

"That's you. You stupid fox!” She shouted and rushed towards him, slapping him loudly. "The person I'm always with is you, right? Even though I should have known that I would never be able to get close to anyone other than you, you idiot!”

Nick stood still with a still expression on his face. Is it him? Is it really him?

"Makes me...gasp...think a lot all night about whether or not you were angry at me yesterday...please make up for it..."

The little rabbit trembled in his embrace. Even his ears drooped. Nick almost stopped breathing again as Judy kissed his chest and cried out.

"Uh..." Nick tried to speak, but he fell silent. His two paws slowly lifted up carefully before hugging the small body gently.

"I guess we...start with just boyfriend and girlfriend first?"

The little girl's bunny ears popped up.

“So you asked me to marry you. Who uses it for women to ask men to marry them? Lost all dignity."

Judy raised her tear-filled face. He saw a small spark in her eyes.

"Does that mean...?"

Nick's smile widened.

"I love you, Judy."

He saw her big eyes grow bigger and shine beautifully.

"Uh...huh!?"

"Answer?" Nick tilted his head. The little rabbit squirmed a little.

"I...I love you too!"

Judy smiled widely before she jumped into a hug that made him spin around. Nick glanced at the ring in the box before he picked it up and slipped it on Judy's finger.

"I love you..." he said again. Judy smiled widely and jumped in for another hug. "Sorry for making you sad...Carrot."

Judy shook her head.

"It's worth it!"
