Credence has secretly liked Newt for over two years now.

It all started the day Credence met Newt at the bus stop in front of his apartment. He had a crush on this man the moment he met him. His heart was pounding so loudly that he couldn't hear anything around him. Newt turned and smiled at him before getting on the bus and we parted ways without any introduction.

It seems like the story ends here, but isn't it surprising how he knows Newt's name? Because there's a next event. That's when Credence arrived at Hogwarts and walked up to his classroom to find Newt sitting in the front row of the room. Credence's heart pounded loudly again. The more he saw Newt's soft, cute smile, the more his heart pounded until it almost flew out of his chest. Credence walked straight towards Newt. Newt drifted off as if he had been cursed by an evil wizard to do such a thing, but when he came to a stop in front of Newt,

He was so embarrassed that he almost wanted to crawl away even though Newt introduced himself in a friendly manner. Credence became even more embarrassed until his face became hot.

And this is the reason why Credence knew Newt's name, but Newt didn't know his name because after Newt finished introducing himself, he immediately ran out of the room. He was so embarrassed that he didn't dare face him.

And then everything went as normal. Credence meets Newt at the bus stop every day. We rode the same car to school and walked up to the classroom together. Sitting in the same classroom study the same subject But we never talked again. Credence is an introvert. He was not used to being in crowds and was not used to being alone with others. You could say it's social phobia.

Because of this, Credence has no friends. Saying that he doesn't want to have someone to associate with seems too strong on his mind, however. Credence never introduced himself to Newt. He kept looking away, avoiding his eyes (he was so shy!)

So his life went on like this every day, secretly looking at Newt in the back of the room, without having the courage to confess his love. It wasn't until two years later that he realized he should have had the courage.

The reason why Credence came up with this idea was the news that Grindelwald...his next door friend...secretly liked Newt. He was constantly pestering Newt. Acting like a shadow who has to be near Newt all the time.

Credence didn't like it at all. Damn it, every time he saw Grindelwald like this he wanted to go in and rip that guy out and crush him. Record and record before shouting in your face. Newt is mine!

But even if you say that...just facing Newt directly is still not possible. And where will I get the courage to fight Grindelwald? Damn it.

Newt didn't deny it. Credence's heart was lost in the darkness. He couldn't help but realize that Newt already had someone he liked. Pain shot through his chest and made him uncomfortable. He lowered his head to his chest and looked at his fist on the study table. It trembled like the eyes.

Credence has liked Newt for over two years but hasn't dared to confess his feelings for fear of the answer. Therefore, he kept all his feelings to himself. Kept in the depths of my cowardly heart.

Newt already has someone he likes. Credence reminded himself, clenching his jaw. Clenching his fist until it turned into a fist, Credence didn't want Newt's wish to be fulfilled. He didn't want Newt to have anyone other than him as his girlfriend. He knew that this idea was the worst wish, bad enough to be unforgivable. But even then, he couldn't help cheering.

Cheer for the person you like to like someone else. It's torture and you'll die. The pain will die. Seems selfish...will die

"What? If there's someone you like, you should probably tell them. Friends don't hide things like this."

“Don't talk like it's a big deal, okay? I just secretly like someone. There's only one here."

Newt burst out laughing. Credence raised his head to look at the thin man who looked happy just thinking of someone other than him. A smile as bright as the sun shone, completely destroying the darkness in his heart. Help cleanse Credence of all evil within him.

Credence couldn't imagine a day when Newt wouldn't smile like this. How dark will the world be for him?

No...absolutely not at all.

Smiles come from happiness, right? That's if Newt is happy. This smile would never disappear, even though Credence's heart wanted the person Newt liked to already have someone he liked. But this devil's wish...please don't make it come true.

If Newt is happy with the person Newt likes Credence would then step back and give up and wish Newt a smile like this every day.

I accidentally cheered.

Credence walked to the cafeteria alone like every day. Today his lunch was a loaf of bread and a carton of fresh milk, just like that. I don't feel like eating anything.

Credence sighed. Sliding down, he rested his head on the metal chair, closed his eyes, blocking himself from the outside world.

“Excuse me,” a familiar voice woke Credence to his senses. His eyes widened in shock when he saw who was speaking. “May I sit with you?”

"Nah...Newt!"

“Yes?” The person who was called asked tilted his head with a smile so wide his eyes were closed. Such a kind and bright expression made Credence fall in love with Newt even more than before. “Why did you call me?”

"No...no, I just didn't think you'd come sit..."

"Can't you sit down?" Newt asked, his face not looking slightly embarrassed.

Credence hurriedly shook his head in denial, "You can sit. You can already sit...please."

After Credence finished speaking, Newt pulled out a chair and sat down across from him. Credence was speechless from his excitement. I never thought that one day I would be able to sit down at the dinner table with Newt...what should the person he likes do? Where should I start the conversation? Ah...what should I do?

“Uh,” Credence began to open up. Newt raised his eyebrows and widened his eyes. It makes Newt look like a very cute doll right now. "Aren't you going to sit with Jacob? You guys are close friends."

"You're not chasing me, are you?"

“No, no.” Credence hurriedly shook his head. Raising both hands to wave, Newt laughed. “I was just thinking about why you chose to sit with me instead of your best friend, Jacob.”

"Jacob went out to eat with his girlfriend, Queenie," Newt whispered the last three words softly. "So I don't want to be a roadblock. It's uncomfortable and I can't help but be jealous."

“But the other table...”

“I didn't know anyone so I didn't dare ask to sit with them. But with Barebone, we live in the same room. Plus, we already introduced ourselves even though it was just me.”

Credence thought Newt was secretly criticizing him in that last sentence. But he doesn't care. Because what's more interesting is how Newt remembers the day he walked in on it. That was from when we were in tenth grade. But this is twelfth grade already.

“Do you remember!?”

“Why are you so shocked, Barebone?”

“Do you know my last name?”

“Names too,” Newt said. “Well, we're in the same class. How can I not know your first and last names?”

Oh, that's it, Credence thought, laughing awkwardly. then sit up straight Looking at Newt who was enjoying his lunch.

“Aren't you going to eat lunch?” Newt asked, looking up at the bread and milk in front of Credence.

"I'm just not very hungry."

"Be careful, you'll get a stomach ache," Newt said, smiling as his appetite suddenly returned. Credence's stomach rumbled. Made Newt laugh. It's so embarrassing. "Why don't you tell me you're not hungry? Haha."

Credence didn't answer. Hiding his red face, he picked up some milk and drank it. Newt's laughter faded as silence fell. Credence glanced at Newt sitting in front of him, asking himself over and over if this was a dream.

“Newt.” To be sure, Credence called out the name of the person across from him. Newt looked up. "I wasn't dreaming, was I?"

“Eh?”

“It's true that Newt is sitting in front of me, right?” Newt reached out and pinched Credence's cheek. "Oh!"

“Do you think it was a dream?” Credence shook his head. Newt laughed good-naturedly. "What's so funny about asking?"

Credence thinks so. He turned away and sat back down as usual and put the milk carton down. Looking at Newt who was sitting intently eating his spaghetti. He couldn't believe that he was now sitting in front of the person he had secretly liked for over two years. He couldn't believe that he was finally getting to know each other. And will be in the same room from tenth grade until now. Is it fate? And if that's the case, why not take the risk and confess your feelings?

Grindelwald walked towards the door. Credence quickly turned his back to the wall, trying to make it seem like he wasn't eavesdropping on their conversation.

The door at the back of the room opened. Grindelval walked out before stopping when Newt called out.

“I'm sorry I couldn't respond to your feelings because I have someone I like and have always liked.”

“May I ask who?”

"My roommate."

Grindelwald nodded in acknowledgment and walked away. For a moment, Grindelwald didn't even notice or care about Credence. But he stopped when he saw Credence out of the corner of his eye. Kerdence smiled dryly. Give it to the person standing in front of you.

“Hi,” Credence greeted. My body tensed in every way. Suddenly, I was afraid of this guy. Why?

Grindelwald didn't greet or say anything. Just walked away like Credence wasn't even there in the first place. Credence breathed a sigh of relief. Pull yourself away from the wall and turn to look at the room.

Newt sat at his study table looking like he was waiting for someone. And of course Credence knew the answer. But after hearing Newt's denial of his love confession to Grindelwald, Credence's heart suddenly fainted. I started to hesitate about what to do. Should I be bold enough to confess my love even though I already know the answer? Or will I just leave quietly like this?

But when Credence thought about following the second option, his heart immediately objected. You can't keep Newt waiting like this. He's waiting for you. You've already made an appointment with him. Be brave, friend!

Credence sighed as he looked at the lily in his hand, still as fresh as when he bought it. Then you can decide.

Credence opened the back door and stepped inside just as Newt turned to look. His face was a mask of concentration, quite solemn and resolute.

“The person you like. Can't it be me?"

“”The person you like. Can't it be me?"

“Yes...?” Newt stood up with a red face but also a confused look.

“I mean,” Credence began, clenching his fists and staring at Newt intently, “I like you.”

The atmosphere in the room was quiet as if nothing had happened. Credence sweated little by little when he saw Newt standing there so silent he couldn't guess what he was thinking. He walked closer and handed him a bouquet of white lilies. repeat again

“I like you, more than anyone else in this world.” Credence sounded serious, acting bold and brave until he couldn't hold himself back. "Can you please take...the lily? Consider it an act of kindness if you don't mind me."

Newt didn't say anything. Taking the bouquet and holding it in both hands, Credence paled even more when he realized that Newt really didn't think anything of him. Being rejected for this type of confession and verbal form Which one will hurt more?

"Mr. Barebone," Newt called, Credence raising an eyebrow. “I accepted your bouquet of flowers not because I wanted to honor your kindness.”

"yes?"

“But I decided to accept it because I accepted your confession of love.”

Credence gasped in shock at Newt's words. The more he saw the other party laughing in embarrassment, the more shocked and confused he became.

“Huh...what does that mean?”

“The person I like is you.”

He slid down and sat on the floor, hugging his knees. Lowering his head to hide all his embarrassment, the sound of Newt's footsteps came closer. The tall, thin man asked with concern. Credence didn't answer. He sat there hugging his knees for a long time until he looked up and laughed at the happiness growing in his heart. Newt was somewhat confused.

“I'm so happy,” Credence explained, “so happy I can't stop laughing.” Newt eased his nerves, smiled, and then let out a laugh as well, “I didn't think I'd be so lucky. Thank you.”

“Eh, well, I'm the one who should thank Mr. Barebone...”

“Credence,” Credence said in a deep voice. Use your index finger to lightly touch your full lips. "You can call me Credence, you know."

Newt's face was redder than a mother's color and he hid his face from Credence's sight and fell to his knees.

“This is cheating. That kind of thing,” Newt teased, “I'm the one who should be thanking you for liking me.”

Credence laughed and grabbed Newt and hugged him. Pressing the beautiful head of her head onto her shoulder, she looked out of the classroom window where the sky was coated with the setting sun.

Credence doesn't want to know why Newt likes him, he doesn't care why Newt chose him. Because in the end, no matter what the answer is, the person Newt likes is still him.
