Some people don't like the rain because it's both wet and slushy.
But for me, I like the rain because at least it brings me closer to someone.
-Kim Namjoon-
“Hurry up a little, it looks like it's going to rain. It will be difficult for us to go home soon." Yoongi's voice, a third-year high school senior, rang out, encouraging everyone to hurry up and work together. This is the time when storms are coming in. Evening time like this seems suitable for rain to fall.
'Krunk Krunk'
Before he could speak, the troublesome rain poured down continuously. Yoongi hyung looked out the window and sighed. If I were to guess, it's because he just talked about the rain a moment ago and the damned rain fell almost immediately.
"Why is it that everything I say is true except about Jimin?" Yoongi walked over and complained to me, a little bored, which made me laugh at his words.
"Come on, I think Jimin has softened a lot."
“You can say that, Namjoon. You don't like anyone yet." I laughed at Yoongi's expressions, seeing how angry he looked like this, but when it came to Jimin, he always acted like a child.
And who said I don't like anyone yet?
“Hey Namjoon, are you free?” Hoseok, a classmate, shouted to me loudly in his own style.
"Um, why?"
"I went to buy some more paint, it's all gone."
“Alright, what color do you want?” Hoseok didn't answer but instead handed me a piece of paper with a list of things to buy. I nodded and walked out, not forgetting to take out my umbrella. Even though the rain has started to subside a bit, it can still be considered wet.
It didn't take long to walk to the stationery shop near the school. I hurriedly bought things according to the order list. If I had been any slower, the rain would have fallen bigger than before.
"Total 7,000 won." I took the bag from the employee before walking out of the store and my eyes caught sight of someone who looked familiar.
"P'Jin, hello." I greeted a 3rd year high school senior who was in the same room. Jin is Hoseok's older brother and often stops by to see his bang-faced friend. So he's quite close.
"Oh Namjoon? What are you doing?" Jin gave me the same smile that filled his cheeks like always and that smile made my heart flutter as always.
"I came to buy something for a friend. The items used to make the signs were all gone."
"Oh...so you're going to go to school, right?" I nodded in response to Jin, which made him smile even wider than before.
Damn it, how cute is that?
"Good, I'll go with you. Ah!” Because of the loud thunder just a moment ago, the little senior was startled until he threw up and unconsciously moved closer to him. The faint scent of perfume that floated into his nostrils made his heart race and almost explode.
Kim Seok Jin is truly a dangerous person.
"Uh, I think we should hurry before the rain gets worse than before." I stuttered without looking him in the eye, but the other person's next sentence caused me to extend my umbrella towards the other person as well.
"Well...I don't have an umbrella. Please bring an umbrella with you."
"okay"
For two men to stay under a small umbrella is quite difficult because since we walked together our arms have bumped into each other many times and this umbrella is suitable for one person use. Droplets of rain splashed, wetting the smaller man's arms to a noticeable extent.
If it's wet like this, it won't make you feel comfortable.
“You're wet, Namjoon. Why are you leaning the umbrella so much towards me?” The round-cheeked senior looked up at me with eyes that looked slightly displeased as I leaned the umbrella towards him until my right arm was already wet.
"nevermind"
"but...."
“I'm an athlete and I don't get sick easily. A student who doesn't exercise like you will get sick." I gently scolded him without being too serious. This made Jin frown even more, but it didn't frighten me much. I'd rather let him be upset than let him get sick.
After finishing my sentence, both Jin and I didn't speak any more. There was only the sound of the rain falling on the ground. But I didn't feel that it was too awkward because I was with someone I liked close to. In a small car like this, it's a very good feeling too. When we reached the basement of the school building, I closed the small umbrella and prepared to walk up to the school building, but Jin's voice made me turn around and look first.
"Thank you."
"Oh, yes. It's okay."
There was silence between the two of us again. The sound of the rain still falling combined with the chatter of the students nearby was a sound that made the atmosphere not too lonely.
"Do you like the rain?" Brother Jin suddenly asked, which surprised me quite a bit, but I agreed to answer him.
“I like it. I think the rain looks relaxing. The sound of rain falling on various people was also enjoyable to listen to. No matter who sees it as wet It's so wet that it's annoying, but I like it because it makes me..."
"Meet you," I replied, but didn't have the courage to turn around and look at the smaller man's face. I don't even know how I said it like that.
"But I don't like it."
The short sentence that Brother Jin replied made my heart skip a bit before I turned to face the other person to apologize for saying that, but when I saw his eyes and that mischievous smile, I couldn't help but smile.
“The rain is both wet and slushy. Everything you do is annoying."
"But walking in the rain with you just now wasn't so bad either."
Ah...I guess I'll have to buy a bigger umbrella.
Do you think it's good?
