"...Why do you want to go out and set up a tent and look at the stars?"

The room was silent. It was only the wide smile that graced Hoseok's face that made Yoongi realize that he was right.

Ah...I have to prepare to pack things again...

Soft sunlight shone through the clean white translucent curtains and entered an office filled with papers. The wind blowing in caused the curtains to flutter. Stacks of papers fluttered down and covered the black slippers. A small young man stood looking at the number of white pieces of paper with a bored expression on his face. His slender eyes narrowed. Thin, upturned lips, low corners of the mouth

Her face was worse than milk that had been forgotten in the refrigerator for half a week.

“This is Hoseok.”

A low, hoarse voice said as he bent down and picked up the piece of paper at his feet and turned it over to look at it. The other person's scribbled handwriting that Yoongi could never read and never bothered to try to read made him feel sorry for whoever had to sit and trace this poor handwriting.

Doctor, be a doctor, no one can compete with Jung Hoseok.

But it is strange that there are still humans in this world who can carve handwriting that is beyond measure. Yoongi sometimes wondered if the person who could trace Hoseok's handwriting didn't try becoming an archaeologist or something. Looks like he'll be better off working with a writer like the one in front of him.

Some were asleep, eyes closed, sunk into gray bean bag chairs. In his hand he still held an uncovered pen.

“Did you fall asleep on the job again?” His slender legs tiptoed past the papers he would never clean up until he reached him. A strong hand reached out and gently shook Hoseok's body to wake him up.

"yeah…"

The thin eyelids slowly opened. His brows furrowed together to allow his eyes to adjust to the afternoon sunlight.

“Leave the window open again. The manuscripts are flying all over the room.” The little man opened his mouth to complain since Hoseok was still half asleep. Even though his mouth was complaining, his actions were as opposite as ever. Yoongi took the pen out of the other's slender fingers' grip and stood there, calmly waiting for Hoseok to wake up.

“What time is it, Yoongi?” His characteristically muffled, nasal voice was slightly hoarse as he brought his hand up to lightly rub his eyelids, trying to wake himself up even more.

Yoongi looked down at his favorite famous brand silver watch on his left wrist. before replying in a softer voice

"It's four o'clock. Are you hungry yet?"

A simple question that shows concern without having to express much.

Yoongi lets Hoseok sit there, looking dazed, while he walks past the papers on the floor to close the large window.

Hoseok hasn't changed at all since they've known each other. Nature has always been amazing to Hoseok. He seems to have become addicted to being with nature. Although Yoongi is a person who likes electronic devices and modern things a lot, Hoseok is almost the opposite. He is traditional.

Maybe it's because of Hoseok's artistry that he always has quite new and creative ideas. Even though he is a writer, he chooses to write everything by hand on paper even though using a computer to type is much easier.

And sometimes they both don't understand how they came to be together.

But we're comfortable together.

Although many things are different between the two, they definitely have one thing in common...that is the longing for travel.

Every time Hoseok wants to get away and sit and write a book while sipping coffee in the middle of the forest or want to feel the scent of the southern sea. Yoongi was always ready to go with him. And of course, the word seclusion does not refer to booking luxury five-star accommodations with breakfast included. But it's about carrying a tent and sleeping bag and setting up a campfire and sleeping in the middle of the forest or acting like a true stranded person.

Of course, at first Yoongi was secretly tired of doing things like this.

But in the end, he had to give in to Hoseok's sweet smile.

And he was about to lose to it again…

A small figure sat leaning against a bright cream-colored wall on a floor that had already been cleaned from a huge pile of papers. Yoongi reads the same novel in the same corner of Hoseok's office. While another person was concentrating on writing a book at a small Japanese table not far away. The window that had only recently been closed opened to let in the breeze again.

“Yoongi-ah…” A voice called out causing Yoongi to stop the music he was playing in order to hear the other person clearly.

"How is it going"

“Do you know what I'm writing a book about right now?”

"do not know"

Yoongi answered honestly. Yes..he doesn't know. He doesn't really want to interfere with Hoseok's work even though the other person likes to ask for help because he's quite the poet himself. But he never bothered with Hoseok's stack of papers or Hoseok's stationery. Both of them always respect each other's personal space.

Because of this, we were able to live together without ever arguing.

It's like falling asleep and then waking up. Before you know it, Yoongi and Hoseok are already sitting by the red fire at night. Yoongi's fingers lightly tapped the white cigarette stick in his hand, causing the ash to fall onto the rough stone floor that was dotted with weeds.

“Too bad I can't see any stars from here,” Hoseok muttered softly.

A soft voice suddenly sounded louder when the space around him was devoid of noise. There were only the two of them in this place. You could say it was romantic because the night view of the city in front of them was no different from the stars. The bright lights of the buildings shone all the way up to the mountain where they had set up a small campfire.

Phew…

Pale white cigarette smoke rose from thin lips. Yoongi picked up his cigarette one last time before dropping it into the empty beer can and pouring water in to extinguish it. The hand shakes the can back and forth.

“If you can see the stars from here, that would be great. So that you don't have to continue climbing the mountain,” the deep voice replied calmly.

“Just a little more and we'll be there. But when will I quit smoking? You know I don't like the smell."

“This whole week, I only smoked one box.”

“Smoking a little is good. Please take care of your health.” The eyes that had been looking at the city in front of him moved back to the young man beside him. Hoseok looked at Yoongi with the same eyes as when they first met.

“Why are you worried?”

"Oh, I'm worried." They were both silent for a while before a figure stood up with a piece of paper and a pen in his hand. “Go to sleep now. Tomorrow I have to wake up and continue climbing. I won't have the strength to take it.”

“Yes,” Yoongi replied with a smile as he got up and followed the other person into the tent.

The next morning...the bodies of the two young men were still curled up next to each other with a small bolster between them to prevent the other from rolling over and eating up their own space. But until now, both of them still don't understand why they did this when they were both people who were lying still and not moving at all. They thought that if someone found them in the middle of the forest like this, they should call the police to report that they found them. The bodies of two men lay dead while camping.

The sunlight shone into his eyes, causing Hoseok, who was more easily awake, to slowly open his eyes. His thin arms lifted him up and he sat up before turning to look at Yoongi who was still lying next to him with eyes that still couldn't focus very well. He reached out his arm to gently shake Yoongi's body, but the other man didn't seem to wake up at all.

“It's hard to wake up as usual, it's never changed.”

His hand was gently placed on his shiny black hair. Slender fingers gently threaded through the other man's hair before moving down to smoothly caress his forehead. He sat looking at Yoongi who closed his eyes and smiled to himself.

When she sleeps, she looks cute like a child. Why did you wake up and look so afraid? Like a kitten that turns into a tiger. Hoseok couldn't help but think.

While waiting for the other person to rest a little longer He got up and prepared a simple breakfast of sandwiches and hot coffee to sip first. After a moment, an arm full of bulging veins on white skin like snow wrapped around Hoseok's neck from behind.

“Good morning,” Yoongi's husky morning voice was one of Hoseok's favorite things. A wide smile appeared before turning to the other person whose eyes were still closed.

“Come on, wake up, eat and change clothes so we can continue walking. I won't be able to make it in time to see the shooting stars tonight, Yoongi.”

Yoongi followed easily. He sat and munched slowly on his sandwich while Hoseok packed his things from the tent and prepared to climb to the top before tonight's meteor break. He wanted to capture the atmosphere of camping and watching meteors himself. I want to see the beauty of the stars with these eyes. And there was no way he would miss this opportunity.

Experience is important for a writer like Hoseok. Whenever possible, he wants to experience everything the characters in his stories must feel for themselves in order to be as realistic as possible. Often his personality changes slightly because he gets too involved with one character. It took nearly a week to return to normal.

His hand tightened on the backpack on his shoulder. The pair set off again. The legs moved slightly but steadily. It's like their love that started slowly but strong. And soon they will be able to reach their desired destination.

In front of them was a night sky covered with constellations. Luggage was carelessly thrown away. In the middle of the forest without any disturbing light. Two young men stood and looked at the stars shining in the sky. But one person sees the stars as reflected in another's eyes.

A flash of light streaked across the sky, causing a wide smile to appear on Hoseok's face. He still didn't realize that Yoongi's eyes were still on him.

Yoongi could barely see any stars. The smile of the young man beside him shone brighter than any star. It's like the sun shining brightly in the night.

“As my sunshine deserves,” he muttered.

His hand grabbed the other person's thin waist and pulled him closer to his body. His face slid in and placed his lips on the same member of the other person. A gentle kiss under the stars was far more romantic than someone like Yoongi could ever imagine.

But he had done it.

And despite how beautiful the stars are

His eyes saw only Hoseok.

Ah, another short story finished. This story is the fastest story I've ever composed.

It only took 2 days, for us this is very fast haha.
