Hello, dear reader.
I'd like to punctuate the writing of the long Sazi fic with this short story first.
I just returned from Luang Prabang.....so I got a little inspiration from a person I met by chance there.
It was too impressive to keep to myself.....so I wanted to write about it. To record your memories of that place.
"Luang Prabang"
and that person
.....People who walk away with a smile and the words.....
"To, it's counted"
.....Because of the person who is writing this story, Nomu Pogochibta.....

"Luang Prabang......to some people [
P.S. Luang Prabang ]"
Reviewed by Bua Bussabavaree
last week I had the opportunity to travel to Luang Prabang. The city is said to be full of tranquility and charm, with its beautiful nature and simple lifestyle. Until it was registered as a world heritage city.
There, I encountered many impressive events, including the people, tourist attractions, atmosphere, and way of life of the Luang Prabang people.
And.....that girl......the person who made my blog today. It's more colorful than anything I've ever written before.
I depart from the airport
JFK
In New York at dusk
The giant bird took me and over a hundred passengers on board to Bangkok. my hometown It's where my family and I came to New York City over ten years ago.
It took almost twenty hours. After one stop, the giant bird finally took me to the glamorous Suvarnabhumi Airport......I was secretly proud to know that my hometown's airport was among the most beautiful airports. of the world ever
But my destination this time is not Bangkok. It's the city of Amon Sky.
I connect another hour and a half to fly to the northern part of the neighboring country, Lao PDR, because my destination this time is..."Luang Prabang. World Heritage City"
Even though I'm tired from my long journey across the hemisphere But as soon as the plane climbed from Suvarnabhumi Airport heading towards Luang Prabang, I was so amazed by the scenery below that I couldn't fall asleep.
A picture of the grandeur of the long, winding Chao Phraya River, flanked by pictures of houses lined up along the river. It gave rise to the beautiful way of life that I witnessed as a child. Those images came back into my memory again. As I float above the beautiful scenery of the mighty Chao Phraya River.
The time on my wrist read 4:30 p.m., the same time the captain announced the descent to Luang Prabang International Airport in half an hour.
I looked at the scenery outside the plane through the small window. of giant airplanes A picture of towering mountains lined up in intricate patterns as far as the eye could see appeared in front of us.
Groups of clouds as white as cotton float along the mountain range. Contrasting with the dark green of the large and small trees on the giant mountains.
Some groups gathered together, chatting and teasing until it turned into a cloudy, black raindrop. Some groups float around, floating free.
......The enviable cloud......
airplane gradually Descend as you approach your destination. While I am still amazed by the meandering image of the Mekong River running parallel to the mountain ranges as far as the eye can see.....nature is so beautiful and majestic.
I used a hired van from the airport to travel into Luang Prabang with 6 other tourists for 50,000 baht each.
kip
It took less than half an hour for the van to take me to my house. (Which here is called Huean Pak) a small, compact house on the banks of the Khan River. (The river that separates from the Mekong River) which I booked in advance via the internet. The price of accommodation is just as lovely, only 125,000 per night.
kip
only
I only had 2 nights here, so after checking into my accommodation and washing up, Ready to store your luggage. I also rent a locomotive or motorcycle at my residence for 100,000 per day.

To go out and capture the atmosphere of the evening tourist attractions of the small town. This place is full of charm.
......Luang Prabang......
The first place I headed to was Phra That Phu Si, which is located on a hilltop in the center of Luang Prabang. Going up to see Phra That Phusi Tourists must walk up 328 steps to climb the winding mountain ridge!!!
At first I thought it was casual. Because both sides of the road leading up are filled with small and large shady trees. which releases fresh air to refresh me rejuvenated Tiredness can be relieved. But after reaching about 250 steps, I started to feel... My tall body Plus a camera bag with a heavy tripod. It has a great effect on escaping the earth's gravity to walk up to high places.
.....Of course, I was exhausted. and almost exhausted Until I want to throw everything away.....but.....I haven't given up yet.
I gritted my teeth and fought with all my might. And I felt that I was relieved, like a mountain had been lifted from my chest. Because there are no more stairs to climb. When reaching the flat surface above
Tourists come to reserve beautiful corners. To take pictures around the relics, which can see a 360-degree view of Luang Prabang and because this place is located on a high mountain. Therefore, it is suitable for waiting to watch the most beautiful sunset in Luang Prabang. Therefore, this area is crowded with tourists who come to reserve seats and wait to watch the sunset.....including me.
I chose to walk around and take photos of the view of Luang Prabang from various angles around the relics, waiting to watch the sunset. It must have been more than half an hour since then.
I held my favorite camera up to my face. before aiming your eyes in the viewfinder and moving the camera to find the right angle to press the shutter.
.....Move the camera to the left. You will see a clear view of Luang Prabang.
......If you move the camera angle to the right a little. You will see the Mekong River stretching along the lush green mountains, dazzling to the eye.
It only takes a split second for me to shift the angle of the camera to release the shutter when I'm satisfied with the angle.
An image of a young woman suddenly appeared, blocking the view I was about to capture through the viewfinder. Until I had to lower the camera......to be able to look at her fully.
......That girl.......I saw her with my own two eyes.......
.......Her smile......makes my world so bright.......
She and a group of three or four friends ran up to cover the corner where I was about to take the photo. And they took turns taking selfies until they looked completely chaotic. Speeches with a familiar accent, but not a single word can be heard. Makes me able to guess that They are Korean.
I picked up my camera......pretending to take pictures of the view.
........but the picture behind the camera.......only has a clear picture of her.......
I still stood there looking at her. I don't know how long. Until she and her group of friends took photos until they were satisfied and walked out of that corner.
But the pictures of her smiles, laughter, and every gesture That was expressed as she talked with her group of friends. It's still clear in my mind. Until I........wanted to project those images. over and over again
I still watch you sit and watch the sunset with an expression of indescribable satisfaction while recording every detail of you.......keeping it in a notebook called......heart.
Portrait of a white woman Her long, wavy brown hair flowed in the breeze as it passed over her. Until he had to use his hands to comb his long hair from time to time.
Proportional oval facial structure Arched eyebrows to match the beautiful eyes. A small mole under the left eyebrow. It helps add a lot of charm to her sweet face.
Her high nose supported plump pink lips that curled into pretty chests.
Beautiful.....She was more beautiful than anyone else there......
She walked to stand by the fence to capture the sunset. As I stood and took pictures of her from behind Even though she looked like a psychopath......but I was happy to be able to look at her from behind like that.
She has left Phra That Phusi. But I still sat there quietly. along with looking down at the camera screen And look at the same photograph.....over and over.
Those pictures.........pictures of you that I never knew.......
My heart keeps asking over and over again......is there any way? That I would get to know this girl
I shake the feeling out of my head. And remind yourself If you just sit there and ramble Tonight, we will definitely be carried off by mosquitoes from Phra That Phusi. So he quickly put away his camera and walked down to the black market to go shopping. which is below On the way up to Phra That Phusi and the Grand Palace.
......In my heart I prayed that I would meet.....that girl.....
I don't have much in my hand. Because most of the items are similar items. with the market in Thailand which I have the opportunity to come back every year So I only sponsored T-shirts with the letters 'Sabaidee Luang Prabang' and 'Beer Lao' each in black and white.
When you walk until you're sweaty My stomach began to work. I chose to leave my stomach at a wet rice shop. which looks similar to the noodles in Thailand Just use noodles that are similar to Vietnamese noodles. The taste is quite usable. Plus the price is still low.
I spent quite a bit of time at the black market. When the time passed, it reached 9 p.m. The body that had traveled all day and night felt exhausted. So I rode my motorcycle back to my accommodation. Before taking a shower To prepare to rest at that World Heritage land.
......but before bed Still, I picked up my camera and opened it to look at the picture of the girl in my memory that I had met that evening. Before loading images, store them in your mobile phone. To be able to browse more conveniently Before entering into sleep with exhaustion.....
The next day, I woke up early to go give alms in the morning and took pictures of people giving alms in front of Wat Saen Sukharam.
I chose to wear baggy pants and a cotton shirt so as not to look too alien to the people of Luang Prabang.
After finding a place to park a motorcycle I went to buy food to give to monks. Here they use sticky rice. There are many vendors selling them for you to buy until you can't choose.
Once you have a seat in the right location I put down my alms bowl and took a seat. before walking to the other side of the road to take photos of the surrounding atmosphere While waiting for the monks to come and receive alms
.......Suddenly my eyes fell on a tall woman. That strikingly beautiful face and smile that stole my heart from the first time I saw it......I will never forget it.
Today she wore a light blue cotton shirt and a matching colored sarong. Complete with a clean, white shoulder cloth. Long brown hair was pulled up into a bun and tucked in with champa flowers. Revealing that sweet face will become even more outstanding.
......Duang Champa girl.......
I was rude and pressed the shutter to take dozens of pictures of her in various poses and stood there looking at her for several minutes. Until the aunt who sells food for alms asked.....the monk has arrived. Didn't you give alms to monks?.....that's when I came to my senses. and walked to the seat to wait to give alms to monks
She sat neatly folded like a Lao lady. Less than five meters from my seat.
As I walked closer to my seat She raised her head and looked at me.
My legs suddenly felt like they were losing strength. I stood still as if mesmerized by her beautiful eyes.
.......Beautiful, you are so beautiful.......
"Oh, what's wrong with standing like that and disrespecting the King? You're dizzy, you're fainting." (Ah, why are you standing still like that? Am I going to faint?) Uncle Luang Prabang who came to sit and wait to give alms shouted and asked with concern. Seeing that I was standing still like a stone
I woke up from my trance. along with her giggling and friends who probably laughed at my clumsy expression when the eyes of the people waiting to give alms turned to look at me with wide eyes.
I gave her a shy smile......She avoided my eyes and continued laughing with her friend.
After giving alms to monks She stood there taking pictures with her friends for a while. I just decided to walk away. along with a vow that
'Luang Prabang is just a little narrow.....I wish we could meet again like this until I return.'
I drove to see the atmosphere of Luang Prabang in the morning for a long time. and stop by the famous breakfast restaurant in Luang Prabang 'Prachalaniyom' to leave your stomach there.
The smell of fragrant coffee and baguettes. french bread Breakfast influenced by colonial countries It is still a signature that everyone must try at least once if they come to Luang Prabang......me too.
After having a full belly from breakfast I rode my two-wheeler and traveled from Luang Prabang about 30 kilometers south, with my destination at Tat Kuang Si, which is a large limestone waterfall. And it is a highlight that those who visit Luang Prabang must not miss.
I rode my two-wheeler through a winding path filled with trees. Even though the sun is starting to get strong as it's already late in the day. But the greenery of the trees along the ridges on both sides of the road and the beautiful nature of the landscape It helped me feel refreshed and entertained throughout the trip.
I'm thinking of that person. The person I just met this morning
......Dae Jang Geum girl Like Champa's destiny......
I slowed down before stopping completely under the shade of a large tree
I took out my mobile phone. Click to search for songs that I used to sing when I was lonely. Alone in America
......songs that are not in my language But I can understand its meaning very well. Especially at this time......
......A touching song that means missing someone greatly......
“Boko Chibta (
Bogoshipda)”
It took me almost an hour to arrive at my destination 'Tat Kuang Si'.
I changed into a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals. Get ready for swimming
After purchasing an entrance ticket for 20,000 kip, it's time to trek into the waterfall.
The forest there is still very fertile. Both sides of the road I passed were filled with moisture from the ground and trees. that combines freshness to embrace travelers along the hiking route
Approximately 150 meters past the entrance is a bear conservation center where bears that are injured from poaching are brought to be treated and preserved so that they remain as property of the forest.
I made eye contact with a three-legged bear. He must have lost his legs from stepping on a hunter's trap. I could sense the sorrow in its eyes. It's like it's telling me
'Humans are so cruel to me'
Tears filled my eyes. I blinked away the tears that were about to fall from my eyes and suppressed the pain in my heart at the sight in front of me.
Whether it's a normal person with a heart or someone who loves animals like me. No one would be speechless when they saw images of animals being attacked together in cages in front of them like this. Even though the cage was large and in the middle of a forest.
I shook the sadness out of my head and told myself that there was still somewhere to go. Then I said goodbye to the fluffy bear and continued walking towards the waterfall.
It didn't take long for me to reach the first level of the waterfall. which at first glance was able to change my depressed heart to become refreshed
A small stream that flows slowly. Pass through low rock shelves and down to the blue-green waters below. It makes me think of places in Thai literature that I studied when I was a child.
'Anoat Pond' at Himmapan Forest
A foreign woman happily swam in the brightly colored water. I stood and took pictures for a moment and put all my luggage on the ground. Before walking into the water, you can feel the freshness of the river just to your knees. Then continue walking to the next level of the waterfall.
Gradually, as I climbed higher, I found that the beauty and magnificence of the water falling onto the water below on each level increased as well.
When I reached the 3rd level of the waterfall, which is the last level where tourists are allowed to play in the water, I found that there were tourists from many nations playing in the water having fun.
and among those tourists
......A young woman with smooth, white skin that shines brightly. When her white skin catches the sunlight that shines through the trees......
The smiles, laughter, and voices that have been echoing in my heart since yesterday. Appeared before my eyes again at this emerald green water of the 3rd level of Tat Kuang Si Waterfall.
I was in a trance as I stood and watched her play with a group of friends while playing in the water. Some splashed water on each other. Some jumped on their backs. Some pushed each other around. It was as if standing and watching the Kinnaree ladies playing in the Anodard pond.
And among all the Kinnaree ladies......she is the Kinnaree who stands out more than anyone else.
Once again, I lost my manners and secretly pressed the shutter to take an unintentional photo of her while playing in the water.
......and again That you turned to meet my eyes Unexpectedly, I wasn't expecting it......
She turned away from my eyes and continued to play with her friend.
I don't know what she will think. With the fact that we met by chance again and again
I don't know if she will feel anything. With making eye contact with a stranger again and again
And.....I don't know. What will you say? If this stranger......likes you...
Mrs. Kinnaree turned around. I had to decide to travel to the next waterfall. Even though he had entrusted his heart to that sweet lady Kinnaree.
When I reached the highest level of the waterfall I was stunned by the beauty of the water flowing down the rock layers. It creates a large stream of water that falls onto the pond below.
I stood and absorbed the beauty and took pictures of the majesty of the waterfall for a long time. before walking back to the exit To travel back to Luang Prabang.
.......Mrs. Kinnaree is no longer here.......
I stood and smiled at the dark green water that that girl swam in not too long ago......even though she wasn't there anymore......I just wanted to absorb the feeling. Be nice to her one more time before going back.
It didn't take long for me to arrive back in Luang Prabang. By that time it was already late afternoon.
My stomach started working.
I chose to leave my stomach at the store.
Dao Coffee
Famous restaurant in Luang Prabang which has branches all over the country
Things that are famous for
Dao Coffee
More than restaurants is coffee, which Lao PDR can produce for export. I tried it once at an airport in Thailand. and found that the taste was very mellow
But since this morning I already drank coffee at Prachuniyom Shop. So this afternoon I was more interested in tasting the cold cocoa here. Of course, it tastes just as good as coffee.
I took my time savoring the mellow flavor of the cold cocoa and 'Khao Pun Nam Pork Ribs' which is a food similar to Kanom Jeen Nam in Thailand, stayed for a while, then got out on a two-wheeled vehicle to sit and enjoy the cool breeze on the banks of the Khan River near the accommodation.
The weather during that period is quite hot. But due to the geography being in the middle of the valley There are two large rivers flowing through: the Mahanathi Sithandon River and the Khan River, which separates from the Mekong River. Therefore causing the wind to blow through periodically. And the weather is hot so it's not too stuffy.
I picked up a notebook and sat down to write something down to use as a reminder. When I go back and write details on my personal blog, and of course, one of them.
......is her story......
I sat and watched the Khan River flowing slowly along the mountain ridges, large and small, as far as the eye could see. Until the time passed into the evening So he rode his motorcycle into the city center again. To see the way people live here at night and buy souvenirs. Because tomorrow I have to travel back.
After shopping for souvenirs at the black market for a while My eyes caught sight of a familiar face for the third time today.
......that girl, the lady of Duang Champa and the lady of Kinnaree in the Anodard pond......
I just stood and watched her shopping from a distance. Not daring to walk any closer than that. Because of many accidental encounters today It should be enough to make you remember my face.......just as I remember your face from the first time I saw it.
Once again, I was rude and picked up my favorite camera to take pictures of her from a far away angle.
......Images that I will keep in my memory. That I once met you here......
I returned to my accommodation with a smile on my face. And that night was another night where I slept well.
......even without you in my dreams But your image is clear in my heart......
The last day of your trip to Luang Prabang.
I woke up early to go to the morning market. A place that is the source of the lifestyle and food of the people here.
I got to try delicious pho that was so cheap at the market.
Got to taste Khanom Krok Luang Prabang, which tastes no different from Khanom Krok in Thailand.
Captured the lively atmosphere of the vendors and the people buying and eating food here.
......Simple atmosphere But there's an overwhelming charm that I can't find in New York.....
Spend time at the morning market until the sun begins to shine a golden glow. I carried a camera backpack. Take a two-wheeled vehicle to the main tourist attractions. That if anyone hasn't gone there It is considered not possible to reach Luang Prabang, that is.
'Wat Xiang Thong'
Today I am dressed casually in gray jogging pants. light colored cotton clothing Prepare for entering the temple.
I parked my motorcycle next to the wall behind the temple. and purchase an entrance ticket for 20,000 kip. Ticket sellers at all tourist attractions in Luang Prabang are dressed in traditional costumes. It's very comfortable to look at.
I walked around taking pictures of the beauty outside of Wat Xiang Thong until I was satisfied and then walked into the chapel to pay respect to His Majesty the King. which is the main Buddha image here
'Along with asking for your blessing......'
I raised my head to admire the beauty of the Buddha statue and the Lan Xang art chapel. All of which have great historical and spiritual value.
Every time I enter the temple I will feel My mind is more calm and collected than ever before.
Maybe it's because being a Buddhist is still deeply rooted in my blood. Even if you go to live in a country that is based on another religion.
A whisper of a language I knew but didn't understand came from behind.
I bowed down and bowed down to the Buddha again. He picked up his backpack and put it on his shoulder and prepared to turn and leave the chapel. To make way for the group of people behind to come and worship him.
The girl who was the subject of my prayer just now appeared before my eyes from less than 5 meters away.
Today she comes in another Lao lady costume. The only difference was the color of the cotton clothes and the beautiful sarong......and there was no champatad flower in the hair that was tied up in a bun like yesterday.
Among her friends sitting together Even though everyone is dressed in the same Lao lady costume, I put my hair up in a bun as well.
But......it's you whose beauty is clearly more outstanding than others
......it's you whose demeanor is calm and orderly, inviting to be looked at
And.........it was you who made me stand still as if hypnotized when I looked at that sweet face.
Until one of her friends coughed and interrupted me, I regained consciousness and bowed my head to apologize for standing in front of the Buddha statue. Then walked back out quietly.
I wandered around taking pictures in front of the chapel, waiting for her to come outside.
This afternoon I must travel back.
......I want to see your face one more time......
Champa trees lined up around the temple. (Or maybe someone has planted it) all holding up beautiful flower clusters all over the tree and sending out a fragrant scent all over the place.
I went to take pictures of the national flower of Lao PDR, with the beautiful Wat Xieng Thong in the background, as a souvenir.
Before bending down to pick up a champa flower that had just fallen from the tree to the ground, he inhaled the pure scent of Lao flowers.
She had walked out of the chapel.
Each step of her way down the steps of the chapel It was as beautiful as a painting by a painter who painted the beauty of a painting on the chapel wall.
Strange.....She had a neat demeanor, different from her friends.
My brain was thinking a hundred thousand and nine thoughts......but my two feet were moving forward.
Before my brain realized where I was going
My feet carried me and stopped in front of her.
My mind wanders far
......But my two hands supported the champa flower and raised it to chest level......and uttered a sentence.
“You are so beautiful”
I can't remember her expression......because my eyes were blurry.
......But my two feet went closer to you......
And......my right hand was able to gently tuck a Champasam flower into her hair.
My eyes are still blurry My brain still isn't working.
But my two ears only heard sweet words:
“Kamsa Hamnida”
I was as stunned as if I had been cursed to become a pillar of stone at Wat Xiang Thong.
I don't know for how long......If I realized it again, it was when two Chinese tourists came and nudged Cheebo and pointed out that he was confused. Pretend to press the shutter Along with handing me the camera to take a photo.
When I finished taking pictures for two Chinese tourists I'm looking for you
......She isn't there anymore......
Or......about a moment ago It's just my dream......
I tried to bring back the memories. But it only feels like a club. half asleep
......Are we dreaming here?......
I struggled with the thoughts in my head for a while. But I'm not too sure about the matter that just happened.
......If it's a dream That would be a dream that I don't want to wake up from......
Even though I don't want to wake up from my dream But I haven't forgotten that there is another place that I must see, which is 'Wan Wishunrat' or Wat Mak Mo. The only Sinhalese-influenced temple with a round pagoda in Luang Prabang.
After finishing visiting Wat Wishunrat My stomach began to protest. Because it was quite past noon.
I rode my two-wheeler to the Luang Prabang Post Office. To go have lunch at another signature restaurant in Luang Prabang.
'Joma Bakery Cafe'
Most of the famous items at Joe Ma are bakery items. and drinks But food types are not inferior anywhere.
I chose to order simple western food. Like a mixed vegetable salad with one donut each. and a glass of iced cappuccino For lunch
This shop will have two floors of open space. Customers must order food and pay below. and can choose seats both above and below Including the outside of the store
As it is a famous restaurant in the city, the seats below are always full. So I inevitably had to walk upstairs.
......at the narrow stairs Entrance to the second floor of the shop......
I traced my feet up the stairs towards the second floor of the store. It was at the same moment that a group of young women walked down the street.
I looked up along with turning close to the building wall to avoid oncoming passers-by
There were giggles and nodding faces as the group of young women walked past me.
Until the last person of the group
......A sweet-faced young woman in a Lao lady costume. In the hair bun on the left side, there is a beautiful champa flower tucked in......
The same side I held up to you when I was half dreaming and half awake.
......yes I didn't dream......I didn't dream, right?......
She bowed her head slightly. With a smile and the words
'To, it counts Sheeda'
I don't understand the meaning So I could only bow my head to her. while saying words that he thought she would understand the meaning of
‘Goodbye, hope to see you again’
And that was the last time I saw that girl.....my memories of Luang Prabang
I searched for the meaning of the word
'To Munnab Cheeda' while waiting to board a flight at Luang Prabang Airport
'See you again' is the meaning I received from you.
See you again......I want it to be like that.
See you again......at Somewhere in this world
See you again......if we still have good fortune for each other.
See you again......when fate brings us together.
And what about you, the reader? Do you believe in fate?
For me......I believe. And I hope
Someday, fate will lead me to meet you. Somewhere in this world
See you again with the next review.
'To, it counts Sheeda'

That girl......a tall woman I met in Luang Prabang by chance again and again.
......The person who just stands still when meeting me without even saying hello......
......The person who makes my heart flutter when I look at her big eyes......
......The person who.....sticks Champa flowers in my hair. Then turned and ran away without speaking......
This is really how I feel. Is that yours?
If it's true......I hope
I will probably meet you again somewhere in this world, Ms. Bua.
Group.........Gringing.
The sound of a bell in front of a small bakery. Sang Soo's voice rang out. Wake her up from her trance.
She turned to the entrance. and greet customers in familiar language
“Good morning…..”
“You!!!”
“You!!!”
Both of them were shocked to meet again by chance in this place.
