Everything is like a lie.
Everything is like a nightmare.
That turned out to be all true.
Tony returns to Earth with the help of Nebula, who asks for refuge to prepare a plan to take back Thanos on Earth with him.
The world had been the place Tony held dearest and loved the most. It was the one place he would never let anyone or anything take it away from him. It was the only place he had experienced so much. both good and bad besides that It was also the only place where he met Stephen Strange.
In this moment, there were no more memories or feelings like that with Tony anymore.
After Tony had to helplessly watch Strange disappear into thin air on the planet Tai, all hope and happiness were taken away from him. At that point, his awareness was suspended. permanently
'Spare his life and I'll give you the Time Stone.'
Strange tells Thanos this. The first moment Tony heard Tony was stunned and dizzy, his brain as thick as molten lava in a volcano's crater. Injured by Thanos' attack, he tries to think of a good plan to fight the monster, who is ready to snap his fingers inside his glowing yellow gauntlet to achieve his goals or kill him by grappling. Wear your neck comfortably. Tony had tried to think of hundreds, thousands of ways to do things that would normally be easy to figure out, but they were all messed up by Strange's expectant gaze.
'Spare his life and I'll give you the Time Stone.'
Strange's voice was hollow and hopeless to tell Thanos like that, but the Sorcerer's expression did not show any joy in handing over the things under his care to the demon in front of him. Strange had to resist the urge. An important item that he had protected for a long time and given to the Titan in front of him just because he wanted Tony to survive.
Strange risked the lives of billions of people for just one life, all he could do was sit frozen and stare at him in disbelief.
Why do you trust me, Strange?
I'm not good enough for you to hope for. I have disappointed the whole world and my family. I am good but cause problems and always have to make other people suffer.
Why do you dare trust me, Strange?
Tony pressed his hands to his temples as his own debilitating thoughts came to mind again and he grimaced in pain. He closed his eyes tightly, hoping to ease the deep pain in his brain, but the images of Strange and Peter's bodies slowly dissipated. Instead, it spread wide behind his eyelids, as if someone had installed a movie projector in it. It made Tony feel so much pain that he could hardly breathe. The depression surged in like a tsunami hitting the shore, causing him to suffer until he wanted to fight. Surging on the floor But in reality, he could only stand and stare blankly at the holographic screen, unable to shake off the hopelessness that coursed through his body and mind.
Even though we hadn't met for a long time, Tony knew that he and Strange had some kind of bond. Even though we had some arguments and foulmouths at the beginning, But after talking to each other well, he found that he and Strange had many similar characteristics, perhaps even including their thoughts and way of life. And when they tuned in, Tony got along with Strange incredibly well.
Even though Tony was able to openly express the feelings and fears that had haunted him for six years, he naturally believed that Strange and he were going to get on well in many ways. Definite meaning
If there was a way to make Tony's dream come true.
Now that he's alone, why humans have to be distracted, I don't know. Right now, Tony keeps thinking back to his first meeting with Strange. At that time, he should have said something nice to the magus. Should have listened to all the information carefully and analyzed and thought of a way to deal with Thanos. He shouldn't have wasted time until he eventually lost Strange forever.
Don't leave me like this.
The sound of gasping for breath could be faintly heard. Tony raised his hand to crumple the shirt around his left chest. He clenched his jaw so hard his teeth nearly shattered as his entire chest felt uncomfortable, like there was no oxygen left for him to use in his lungs. It felt as if Thanos was squeezing him. He crumpled violently, thinking about events that had only happened more than a year ago. Tony's torture became more and more unbearable. He wanted to scream and throw things in fury. He wanted to shout as loud as he could and cry out his grief, but nothing happened.
Tears refuse to flow
Can't breathe anymore
Can't say anything
It was the only thing Tony could do. And they usually do it well. Trying harder so that no one else has to suffer the way he did.
Even if there's no one left anymore
'Let me tell you, if I had to choose between you, that kid, and the Time Stone, I'd choose the Time Stone.'
Tony's eyes slowly opened. Due to his exhaustion, he didn't know when he fell asleep or when he lost consciousness. The last memory he remembers is him slumping against the leg of his desk and hugging himself like a child wanting to escape from the terrifying darkness.
Tony moved to sit up. But he had to raise his hand to hold his head instead when the pain inside his skull felt like it was being compressed heavily by large forceps. He turned his head, closed his eyes tightly, gritted his teeth, and supported his body to sit against something that suddenly supported him. Memories flashed back to Strange's strong arms that embraced him when he had a mental breakdown on the strangely shaped alien ship. He remembered the soft voice that gently said it was okay. He remembered the warmth that had crawled so carefully around him and now Tony longed for them.
A soft knock on the door could be heard. Tony quickly raised his hand to wipe the tears from both cheeks when he could see clearly. Then he found himself half-sitting and half-lying on a bed in his own bedroom at the Avengers Building.
"Come in," Bruce's unsure voice came from behind the door. Tony answered, and it wasn't long before it was opened and Hulk's medium walked in. Tony's expression was clearly nervous. "Hi Tony."
"Hi Bruce," Tony replied as naturally as possible. “We haven't seen each other for a while, and you look worn out.”
"Less than you," Bruce said, the look on his face seemed to say that. I'm sorry and Tony knows what that means. “Welcome back to Earth. Ah, I don't know what to say. Normally I can say a hundred other things, but being in front of you like this makes everything choke up.”
"Stop thinking about it. Can I just hold you there and comfort you?" Tony quickly teased him, swallowing down the pain in his throat and sitting up better. To make Bruce feel more comfortable He didn't know if it would be as he hoped or not. He didn't even know if he could hope for anything else.
“I know a little bit about what happened in the nebula, and...I understand your feelings, even if I don't fully understand them. From the experience of people who have lost important people before.”
Tony nodded and opened his mouth to say something back. But the sound was blocked by a lump in the middle of his throat, causing him to shut his mouth and watch Bruce approach him with a sad smile instead.
“How are you?”
"I'm fine," Tony lied. He smiled and turned his head to look out the window. It was raining outside. It was as if in his heart, “I am ready to go along with any plan to get rid of that purple potato giant.”
“You're not the type to take it all in if it's refreshing. You usually have your own plans and your own way of dealing with problems. Why do you want to fight so much this time?”
"Because I can't wait for Thanos to invade and destroy the world," Tony replied sternly to Bruce. He could feel both of his eyes tense, his right fist clenched under the blanket tighter than before until his nails dug into his palm.
If I have a chance to meet you again Even if it's just for a second, I'd trade it all to see you.
"Tony"
Bruce called his name in a sad and worried tone. On the one hand, it sounded too confused and dazed to ask, and on the other, it sounded like Bruce was consoling.
But Tony doesn't want to be comforted by fancy words, he just wants Strange back. And no matter how Which way should I invest and how much effort? As he said before...he will bring Strange back.
No one said anything further. Tony didn't know what kind of gesture and facial expression he had on Bruce, so he sat quietly and looked at him with such concern and concern as Bruce never had, like he wanted to say something but was afraid it would trigger a ticking time bomb. He exploded until it destroyed the peace that existed there. Now it's ruined. So he put it away and reached out to touch the blanket over his thigh instead, which was the best thing a little friend could do.
The loud sound of the rain broke the silence in the room, but it couldn't break the sadness or discomfort inside Tony's heart. On the contrary. It only increased and increased. Bruce finally asked to go outside for some fresh air when he found he couldn't stand the tense atmosphere any longer.
Tony was alone again. He bit his bottom lip until it was bloody. He breathed heavily, the memories replaying with so much pain that cracks appeared all over his fragile body. Tony could only send his voice to Strange out there if That guy still exists...
If I see you again I won't let you go anywhere again, I promise.
THE END
Suddenly, this plot sprung up, which is when Tony turned to ask the doctor why he was doing this. Her eyes were very painful.
And why is it shocking? The doctor looks at Tony like he wants to apologize and wants to protect him again. Huh / wipes away tears.
