This would be another day where I sat alone, drowning in my own thoughts, still thinking about another woman who was my roommate and girlfriend even though it's now in the past. This room is still decorated with my pictures and memories of that girl. I know that before we broke up, we slowly drifted apart. Even though we were less than 1 meter apart, it felt like we were so far apart that I couldn't even touch you.

She is my first girlfriend and I am her first girlfriend but I don't know why the more I open up to her. She seemed distant, like she didn't want to know. I want you to know that I am approaching you sincerely to make you comfortable, but it seems like you are still closed-minded about some things, making me unable to open up and talk to you about everything like a normal couple.

When she broke up with me, I knew that the problem wasn't that she was cheating on me or that I was unfaithful, but that the problem was that she couldn't open up to me. I wasn't the only one who felt hurt, so did she. Even though we couldn't openly talk to each other, we were always aware of each other's situations. I acted like nothing had happened, but in my heart it was. Not at all how it was expressed.

Since we broke up, there are many things I have learned about her. She smiles more, starts to know how to approach and greet others, and encourages both herself and others when problems arise. It made me realize how good she is at keeping her promises. Even though we broke up, she still smiles at me and comes in to talk sometimes. The important thing is that even though we've broken up, I'm happy to be able to see her sincere smile from this angle.
