The woman in front of her showed an irritated expression as soon as she saw his face. She handed him a piece of paper and slammed the door shut. Ton looked down at the paper in his hand. It was a list of ingredients he had to buy for his mother to cook dinner. Ton looked at him with a calm expression for a moment before turning her back on the house and walking out to buy the things on the list.

He felt very relieved to see his mother at his doorstep and she was just annoyed at him. Because since my mother divorced my father, I had to live with just the two of them. When is the mother stressed or upset from work? Mother always brings it down to him. Sometimes he was physically assaulted, scolded, spoken with insulting words, demeaned, and mentally debilitated.

Dad, on the other hand, looked at it positively. There was one time when Ton failed the exam. Mother scolded Ton for being a helpless person. Whatever you do is not good. His father always comforted him and said it was okay. Ton is therefore somewhat closer to his father than to his mother. So when the two divorced Ton really hoped that he would be able to go live with his father. But our lives are never as fulfilled as we wish.

Ton was sad and couldn't understand why his father didn't take him with him. He could only repeat this question in his mind every day.

As time passed, the sky turned dark. He came home late because he couldn't find the last ingredient. As soon as Ton opened the door to the house. The mother's curse sounded immediately. He strode into the kitchen and hurriedly placed all the things on the dining table. He glanced slightly at his mother who was standing in front of the refrigerator. After that, he hurriedly walked out of the kitchen to let his mother cook alone without him being around to annoy her.

Ton sat down on the floor in front of the kitchen with his back against the wall and opened his school bag. He picked up his notebook and sat there doing his homework. Even though his mother felt annoyed every time Ton was nearby. But this is another moment that Ton enjoyed the most, namely secretly watching her mother cook in the kitchen.

Now Ton could only keep his head down and listen to his mother's scoldings.

And I can only think in my heart that today my mother must have been annoyed at work again. Every time my mother had a stressful situation at work, she would often come back to vent her emotions by cursing Ton for no reason. Or even small things will always be used as a subject for scolding him.

Inside the close-knit kitchen Ton slowly sat up and gently grabbed his neck and shoveled air into his lungs to remind himself once again that he was still alive. He turned to look at the things scattered around him and then back to himself. Ton sat and thought for a while. Before he decided to stand up and look at the clock, it was already 2:00 AM.

Ton walked to turn on the gas stove in the dark. He then grabbed a roll of newspaper from under the sink and lit a fire from the open stove.

Ton's mother, who was sleeping in the room, slowly became aware of the heat and the smell of smoke coming in through the door. She opened her eyes in shock to find that fire was spreading throughout the house. The furniture and various items in the room were filled with fire. Her blurred vision caused her to focus on the shadow of a person standing at the foot of the bed.

Ton's mother called out her son's name. It was at the same moment that he rushed forward and straddled his mother's neck.

She scrambled and begged for her son's life. But what she said did not reach Ton's heart at all. Ton stared at the face that was red. It made him think of the things his mother had done to him. So he increased his pressure according to the revenge he had always kept in his heart. The increasing smoke makes the air less and less breathable.

Until finally she breathed her last. The tree emerges from the mother. He stood looking at his mother's corpse lying on the bed with a blank expression.
