Introduction
“Huh.. ah!!” “What? Teacher, Phatthalung Province..” I could hardly believe my ears that I would have to join an activity in Phatthalung Province. And such activities are also held in the military camps of the province..
“Yes, Phatthalung Province, why not?” came the small, high-pitched, slightly southern accent of the guidance teacher.
Uraiwan, besides cutting my eardrums After hearing about the activities and the reasons why I must participate this time, It cut my heart even more.
“She did not pass the religious holiday activities organized by the school. Don't you remember?”
...To sum up, I and 7 other friends had to be representatives of the school to participate in the Youth Leadership Camp activity, where there would be representatives from various schools throughout the southern region participating in this activity. Through a letter sent asking for favors, the school requested that students be sent to participate in the said activity, with representatives of the people's university in the Tha Phrachan area being the hosts of this activity..
But what's more heartbreaking is...the representative of my school. The selection was made by Teacher Uraiwan. He used the criteria for students who did not pass the school activities held last March. As I went through the Rak Prathipathai camp last month, I do not agree with the method of selecting representatives of the school this time.
But that's when that voice just echoed in my heart. And who will hear it?
“This Monday at 8:00 AM, everyone will be together in front of the school. Prepare supplies for the five days and four nights of activities.”
As soon as his words were spoken, the figure of the nation named Uraiwan took a step and opened the door. Leaving only the copper accent still ringing in my ears.
It's 4:00 p.m. on Friday, and on Monday evening, I have an appointment with a friend to go chill. Let's take a walk at Laem Phromthep...
Friday evening In the evening, the evening compositions of His Majesty the King wafted through the school's loudspeakers, signaling that the school doors would soon be closed.
“Sigh”……………
Episode 1
first day
1.1 An unrefreshing morning
“Ai Tee, Ai Tee, wake up.” I remember the time at that time, 5 a.m., not 10 minutes late. It was the early morning of Monday, August 17, 2009. This morning, my alarm clock was my father's voice. and the first sound of the day
I rubbed my eyes and sat up. Today's first light It's not the light of the sun. But it's the neon light that shines into my bedroom. At the same time, the bedroom door that father slowly opened said, “Tee, today you have to go do some activities upcountry, don't you? Hurry up and take a shower.”
I really want time to stop like this. When thinking about sitting in a car for 7 to 8 hours to get to an activity. And it was the first activity in my life that I didn't feel like.
Enjoy
Really, which is different from the man standing holding the doorknob in my bedroom. Who made a noise urging me to hurry up and get out of bed to do my personal duties..
“Father, who is going to the wedding?” I asked him while rubbing my eyes with my left hand and my right hand raised to the sky and stretching back and forth.
Dad removed his hand from the bedroom doorknob and stood with his chest and shoulders wide, like a soldier preparing to report to the guard. With both hands coming up, he grabbed the collar of his shirt and moved it upright, even though it was already up and looking good. Today, Dad is dressed in a long-sleeved red dragon-patterned shirt over black slacks and a nice leather belt that Mom bought him as a present when he turned 48 in mid-2007.
“Today at the Hokkien Chinese Association there was a banquet,” Father further explained the reason for organizing this banquet, “Ah Hok passed the judge exam” ..
Hia Hok or Saksayam Ungtrakul is the son of the owner of a construction materials trading business in Thalang District. I call him Phi Siam. Once, when I was in Mathayom 3, he was my science tutor. We were close to a certain level. During that time P'Siam would tutor me and often came to stay at my house at my mother's invitation.
Because both of our houses are far from each other, they are on different islands of Phuket. P'Siam often comes as a tutor and is a frequent guest at our house.
“People who have just passed the entrance exam are called assistant judges. Isn't that right, Dad?" I protested to him while sitting and stretching on the bed.
“It's just the judge.” Father continued saying that he didn't know. He was born without knowing the rules of the law... Hey.. such a sad tone...
“It's already 5:30 in the morning, aren't we talking enough?” … My conversation with my father ended with my mother's yelling coming from the kitchen.
…This concludes the admiration of P'Siam's achievements and the search for answers as to whether those who pass the examination for the position of judge during their first period of employment are called assistant judges or judges. But what is certain and clear today is the pride and joy of the family of P'Siam's family, the Wan Khrue Khon Sae Ung family...
While today is a happy day for Brother Siam. But it was a bad day for me so...5 days and 4 nights, I don't know what will happen in the future...
“Mom. . . why isn't the water warm?” I shouted from the bathroom as the cool shower water splashed down on my head..
Mom's voice replied that the water heater hadn't worked since last night. Today I will call a technician to repair it after returning from a banquet at the Hokkien Chinese Association. My not-so-pleasant morning started with a cold shower… Sigh…it was such a dull day.
...Parents and parents probably have high expectations for their children's success. I thought about it while standing in the bathroom drying myself. Or do parents really only hope that their children can survive in society.. Huh..and me right now The one who is the only son of the house, whose dream is still unclear..
So what can I do to make my parents proud like P'Siam is today?
But that might be far.. Too far away for me to think about it today Because in my head right now I'm only thinking about what the activities I'm going to participate in will be like. And how to adapt to this activity is only...
…The delicious smell of my favorite food floated up to my nose in the bathroom. seductive melody Inviting me to hurry out and taste the deliciousness to the fullest. Well, this morning wasn't all bad because I still had my favorite Hokkien mee to strengthen my breakfast before leaving...
…1.2 to continue.
