The story of children after being released from a dream (another world) with the help of a teacher.
If you have any doubts, you can ask or criticize.
"Good night, Allen."
Those words still resounded in my thoughts. I held the hand of the cold figure on the bed in the room of my beloved teacher and the other children. His face looked like he was just asleep. But I knew he might never wake up again. His faint smile made me think of my teacher's gentle smile during the last time I was with him. My hand moved to hold the amulet the teacher had given me on my chest and I thought about that time.
“Alain~!” Joshua's voice called my name as I opened the door to the teacher's room. In one hand he held a green frog with strange patterns on its body. He was smiling like a mischievous child as he approached the teacher's bed. “Come on, Joshua,” I warned him as the frog was about to land on the teacher's head.
If he wakes up and sees a frog He's definitely going to blame me again.” He didn't listen to me and put a frog on the teacher's hair. Joshua laughed like a normal, mischievous child. But I could feel the bitterness in his voice. Even if it's just a little bit of hope But we still expect to see teachers wake up again.
“Joshua! We told you not to hide in the teacher's room!” Letty's sweet voice opened the door and two cute girls followed in. They are Chelsea and Stella. "We're... playing hide and seek. Will you play with us, Alain?" Chelsea explained the situation.
Little by little, she started talking to us more. She was hugging one of several teddy bears in the room that the teacher had bought her.
Joshua is apologizing to Letty. Now both of them have improved. Joshua lies less Letty rarely mentions Rick anymore. Maybe because they are loved and don't feel alone anymore. “Don't tell me you're so stupid that you can't even listen to the rules we tell you.” Stella was still as stubborn as ever.
But she started to smile a bit. It was a smile that no one had ever seen before. And she is also practicing cooking with Mr. Clift.
The commotion began when Joshua and Stella began to argue. Now the children here, including me, are becoming more lively. I think the teacher would be very happy if he saw the picture of us right now. “Alain…” Chelsea called me, his voice showing concern. “I'm okay, Chelsea.” I turned around and smiled. give it to her
I try not to be sad. Because I knew my teacher wouldn't want me to dwell on the sadness of my loss and be happy with the people around me.
“You guys...are here again.” A light brown haired man who was a school friend of the teacher smiled as he saw us playing in the teacher's room. “Didn't I tell you not to disturb this guy?” Mr. Clift walked over and gently rubbed our heads. Mr. Clift is now in charge of this place with the others in place of our teachers. “Clift! Clift! Let's play hide and seek!” “Come on.”
He responded to Letty with a smile. “Alain, do you want to play too?” I nodded. “The rules are: You can't hide in the teacher's room and…” “You can't go to the second floor, right?” I smiled and continued helping. Words to Stella, she nodded after we picked up a random person who turned out to be Joshua. We dispersed and hid. I hope Joshua is determined to find it....
We played hide and seek some more rounds until evening and ate. Then they dispersed into their own rooms.
I still feel a bit scared about sleeping in my own bed. I'm so afraid I'll have to dream again. But the teacher said it was okay. Therefore I endured my fear and lay on my bed to sleep.
In front of me was a door. It looks so familiar I twisted the door latch and opened the door. My body seemed frozen as inside the door was the image of my father and mother who had been murdered. The smell of blood filled my nose. My eyes widened in panic. I quickly turned around and ran the other way.
But the path became darker and darker until I couldn't see anything. I heard the sound of the Cheshire cat. It made me tremble until I couldn't stop. I kept running until my feet began to hurt and finally I was exhausted. “Someone, please help me. Teacher...Teacher.” I buried my face in the palm of my hand and started to cry. I don't want to be stuck in a dream again. I'm scared. I'm so scared.
I heard something. So I looked up and saw an object similar to the one I had seen in my childhood teacher's bedroom in that dream. I reached out my hand and touched it and a bright light flashed on.
“Alain...Alain,” a gentle voice was calling my name. When I opened my eyes, I saw the teacher in front of me. I immediately hugged him and cried. "Teacher..I...I'm scared." I sobbed incessantly. He stroked my head and spoke comforting words to me as usual. “It's okay, Allen. The teacher will help you.” He wiped away my tears.
I looked up at his gentle smiling face. His hand suddenly brought my head down. “You, you always break your promises to teachers.” “I didn't make any promises back then…” I answered him in a low voice.
"Forget about the teacher."
He used to say this to me. “We...none of us have forgotten about Teacher! And I'll never forget it!” I stared at him as I spoke loudly. He sighed when he finished listening to me. “The teacher doesn't want you to think too much about the teacher. Teachers don't want anyone to be stuck in their dreams again. But no one seemed to listen to the teacher.” He hugged me tightly.
I'll make sure the teacher wakes up." I said with determination in my voice. “My soul can't help it anymore... It's true that Cheshire can't swallow it. But he was able to take parts of my body away from me.” His words pierced my hair. His voice didn't sound disappointed at all. It was as if he had made peace with this matter.”
Then I'll go get that piece of teacher back....”
“Absolutely not!” he shouted immediately, I lowered my eyes. The teacher probably doesn't want me to mess with Cheshire again. “The teacher doesn't want her to be in danger again. Teacher wants you to grow up to be a good adult. Teacher wants you to move forward.” He still didn't release me from his embrace. Even if the teacher says that. But..but.. “
Well, teachers are important people to me.” I said in a soft voice and started to sob again. Clear tears began to fall from his eyes.
“She is a smart girl. The teacher knows that she understands what the teacher is saying. I'm sorry I couldn't give Alain what she wanted again.
Can you forgive the teacher?” I nodded and hugged the teacher. I felt him smile as I nodded. “Promise me, teacher. Promise that you will be a cheerful child. And then I'll try my best to live my life in the future.” I didn't respond to his words. He sighed again. “Let's make a contract. And you must not break your promise this time.”
He extended his pinky finger to me. I decided to hook up with him. I saw the gentle smile I loved on the teacher's face. “Teacher's good child. Teacher, I love you all.” I felt that my time with him was running out again.
"It's time to wake up, Allen."
I felt a force shaking my body. “Alain, wake up!” Mr. Clift's voice was calling to me. I opened my eyes and saw other people surrounding my bed, looking at me worriedly. Everyone's happy faces began to appear when I woke up. “I'm completely shocked! She refused to wake up. I thought something was wrong with her.”
Mr. Clift put his hand on his chest and sighed in relief. “Don't startle us. You idiot!” Joshua hit me on the back. “It hurts.” I turned and punched him, who was smiling.
Stella didn't say anything, but hit me again in the place Joshua had hit just now with such force that I cried out, “Are you okay? Are you... crying too?” Chelsea asked me. I wiped my tears away and smiled at everyone. “I don't have nightmares. I had a wonderful dream.” I smiled from my heart. Joshua suddenly pulled me off the bed. “I'm hungry!” He dragged me to the dining room.
The others' laughter grew louder as they saw the sight of Joshua dragging his hair around.
I thought of the promise I made to my teacher and smiled. I hope our happiness will be passed on to teachers.
“Thank you everyone. Thank you...Alain.”
