This is a story that actually happened during my internship.
After everyone has finished reading Many of you may have a question arise in your own mind:
Why...? Because of what...?
Have you ever noticed yourself that What makes you smile? And how do you feel when you smile? What does your smile mean? Is its meaning the same every time? And your smile is just a smile on your face Or is it a smile that comes from your heart?
Some of you may think of the questions I wrote or may have more questions. Or some of you may be thinking that What a stupid question. (It will have meaning only if you think about it.) But when you read my story as follows, the word "confused" may become the word "confused". Oh...it's possible (this depends on the person). We do not require it.)
I am a 2nd year nursing student (3rd semester already!!) studying at a nursing college in the eastern region next to the sea. (We're just guessing!!) When we get to year 2, we (2nd year nursing students) will have to practice real work in a hospital (actually, we've been training since semester 2, but there's only morning shift. ) on shift, morning, afternoon, and night, totaling 2 months.
Before passing each building It's so difficult. Starting from the surgery building 2 (Urology), Internal Medicine 1, Chitkarun 3 (Orthopedics), and the last building, Pediatric Building 2 (children aged 4 - 14 years). Each building has a different experience. Some are impressed, some are not.
What I want to talk about is the impressive things I got from the internship (let's not talk about the things that were not impressive). Because it would probably be something that wouldn't be very memorable)
The first thing that impressed me was We actually have our own patients (because the morning shift has to be with the teacher. Most of them will be supervising teachers) that is, besides what we just study in the textbook. (Which makes it difficult to see the picture) We will actually get to practice. Especially on late afternoon shift, we have to stay with the nurse. And I'm busy. He will say Take it easy, little one. I trust your hand. Readers, at
At that time I wanted to shout out, "Haha!! Seriously, did you really let us do it? I'm so happy!!” And we really did it. We will have patients that we receive our special care 1 to 1. And in addition, the other patients in this ward must also be taken care of. It allows us to use our abilities that we have worked so hard to learn.
Today we will really use it. And this is the first impression.
Next is the second impression. which Ak said that no matter how much time passes I probably won't share this impression (because I have to work as a nurse for the rest of my life). What I was impressed by And it gave me the encouragement to want to work in the field. This career is Smiles of patients and their relatives Including the word "thank you"
Every time I provide nursing care to a patient Almost every time I see smiles and hear words of thanks from patients and relatives (other than unconscious patients and no relatives), and every time it makes me smile. A smile that I feel overwhelmed with is something that cannot be described in words. And I thought I've walked the wrong way.
I thought well about studying nursing, and this is the profession I truly dreamed of. Just a word of thanks Which for some people may be just one word that anyone wants to say is not difficult to say. Maybe it's just one word that passes through your mind and then passes out. But for me it's not. Just a word of thanks combined with a sincere smile. This just makes me recover from working all day or all night.
The listener may be thinking, What I wrote was just to describe my own internship? If you read and think carefully about what I wrote, you will know what I want to convey. Some of you may already know. But some of you may be confused. -Is this crazy or not? Honestly speaking, it's crazy...(just kidding)
Actually, what I really want to mention is that A smile...that comes from the heart (are you confused yet? If not, let's continue.)
A smile...that comes from the heart is It is a smile that is born in our hearts. And it was so overflowing that I couldn't keep it in my heart. Until it has to be expressed through the face Some of you may be smiling because you passed the exam. Some of you may smile because you are told you love them. Some of you may be smiling because your boyfriend has proposed marriage to you. Some of you may smile because you are being praised.
Or some of you may smile because you won the lottery. (For the latter, let's play legally.) Each person has many different reasons. But if you look closely, each smile is a smile that comes from you being the recipient (right?). These smiles usually don't last much as time passes.
But there is one smile that can make us smile every time we think of it. No matter how much time has passed, that is "smile from being a giver"
My definition of giving is giving kindness Whether it is giving food or money Or even helping each other is considered giving (emphasis on!! It must be something pure). This is my definition of giving.
Many of you may be confused about how giving makes you smile. If you want to know You try walking to get a bottle of cold water and walking out onto the street. Go straight to the traffic police. Then he handed the bottle of water to the policeman. I guarantee that the first thing the police will do is... Making a face...confused first After that, you will see a smile from the policeman.
And you will definitely hear "Thank you" from the police. And more than that (Oh!! Forgot to mention Carry a mirror.) Take the mirror you're carrying and look at your face. I guarantee that you will definitely be smiling at that time. And you will understand the meaning of the word "Smiles from giving
Aside from the experience of smiles from the internship, there are smiles that just happened that made me rush to sit down and type a story (even though I'm not a fast typist!!!) right now, that is, today I'm up. Go on an internship to gain more experience in the afternoon shift. It was almost midnight already. And I stopped at 7-Eleven.
Then I bought 2 bottles of Oishi for 25 baht while walking back to the dorm. Try to imagine it. Cute woman walking alone in the dark The road was wet with water from the rain that had fallen in the evening. The sky was dark and overcast as if rain was about to fall again. There was not even moonlight or starlight. The atmosphere is cold.
Looking around, there was only darkness. The cute little girl hurriedly walked back to the dorm. Passing the morgue building walking into college Pass by the museum, basketball court, and Mist Florence Nightingale statue (if anyone wants to know who it is,
serch
Look in
Let's do it) and look at the building on the upper floor which is the library where all the lights are now completely turned off. The ground floor is the teacher's office. I looked at that building. And I found it!!!! The teacher's room has a light on. I stood and stopped thinking. 'It's already midnight. Why is the light still on in the teacher's room?' I stood and thought for a while, then continued walking.
Heading towards the teacher's room where the light was still on. The atmosphere was very quiet, very lonely. All the lights in this building were turned off. There were only the lights in the hallway that weren't very bright and the lights in the teacher's room. I walk slowly But because the atmosphere is very quiet, you can even hear your own footsteps echoing through the building.
And I stopped in front of the room. Light shines through the curtains on my body (imagine it like in the movies). With cameras revolving around me, that's it.) I took one deep breath, then I knocked on the door. Knock...knock...knock...no response. So I decided to open the door. And what I found is!!!
The teacher was slumped at his desk in front of a computer screen. So I walked in and nudged the teacher to wake him up. Then the teacher woke up and asked me, "What are you doing? Why aren't you asleep yet?" So I said I just came off duty. Then I saw that the light was on in the teacher's room, so I wondered why the teacher hadn't gone home yet.
And I was afraid that the teacher would work late and be hungry, so I stopped by to check on him. Then I handed 1 bottle of Oishi (that I bought in exchange) to the teacher. The teacher looked at the Oishi bottle. and looked at my face along with saying Thank you for being concerned about teachers. Then the teacher took my Oishi. Coming out of the teacher's room, I felt why it was so full.
Tai, every time I'm on shift in the afternoon, I have to eat a big bowl of ramen (that's Mama). But today I can't eat anything anymore. Now I'm full. I walked smiling from the school building until I reached my room. without knowing when it would arrive Even though the walk to the dormitory was very scary, I didn't feel afraid at all.
This is the impression from the giving that just happened right now, as I sit here typing this. I'm sitting here smiling. Smiling at the opportunity to be the one to broadcast these stories for everyone to know. And I thought it might be helpful. Give ideas to many people.
