Fic fMA Roy x Riza

What’s  in the afternoon?

“What is this?”

Riza Hawkeye asked softly in a questioning tone. When she returned from lunch to find that on her desk in the afternoon quiet room there was a prominent object in the center.

The girl stood and tilted her head to examine it. It was as if what she saw was strange to her, but it was really strange because it was a cute and adorable brown teddy bear in the office of an army colonel.

But before the girl could decide to do something about it, The large armchair on the other wall quickly turned around to face her and the familiar voice of Tarantino sounded across the small room.

“There aren't any terrorist bombs in there.”

Riza turned to look at him. Roy Mustang leaned comfortably against the back of his chair. The corners of his mouth held a faint smile. Before he stretched and yawned But the girl looked at him with sharp eyes that didn't show any blame because she was curious.

“Who put it there?” she asked, still standing straight in the same place.

“It won't bite you.” The young man looked at her with his slender eyes. His lips curled up into a mocking smile. The woman placed the documents she was panting in her arms on the empty space on her desk. before picking it up and looking at it It was an intricately sewn teddy bear. They have clear eyes and soft, fine fur. Roy sat with his chin on his back and looked at her.

The girl's image looked strange as she was holding a small bear's butt instead of a pistol. But it looked beautiful. And from the way you flip it around Roy knew that she was enjoying it quite a bit.

“Do you like it?” he asked casually.

“That's strange?” She said a bit absentmindedly, as if purposely not answering the question. “Like I remember. I had the same thing at home when I was a kid. My mother bought it for me before she died. I don't know where I put it..”

“Um…” Roy pretended to think. “I also saw it too, right? She's as petite as that bear in her bedroom...”

“Do you still remember?” Riza asked, her voice filled with surprise and laughter. Big, sharp brown eyes looked at him. There was a beautiful sparkle in it.

“I don't know,” the young man replied, looking straight into her eyes with his smile that charmed many. The girl let out a soft laugh before holding it back. Calling for a beautiful smile to trace across her lips instead. She tilted her head to look at him. No longer pretending not to know.

“Why aren't there any greeting cards?”

“Let him bless me first.” Roy turned his chair around. He acted as if he was embarrassed to be caught making fun of her, but there was a mischievous satisfaction in his black eyes. Like the old mischievous Mustang boy in the Colonel's chair. “You're free this evening. I'll celebrate your birthday together. Is the shop you like good?”

“Invite Captain Havok and the others along too. It would be fun to go together a lot,” Riza said in a steady voice. She sat the bear down in the corner of the desk and herself sat down.

“And do you like it?” Roy asked still in a whisper.

Riza pretended to think hard. She tilted her head to look at him who was tilting his head to look at her. But before she could answer, the door to the room swung open. Followed by the loud laughter of the sergeants. Roy sighed heavily, regretting the sweet atmosphere that had just passed and would never return. Captain Havok stopped laughing at a joke Breda was telling when he saw the teddy bear in front of the girl.

“What is that, Captain?” the young man asked.

“I don't know,” Riza replied. “I saw it on my table.”

“So, Captain, what are you going to do with it?” Havok asked again, staring at her raised eyebrows in consideration before she moved up from her seat.

“Suspicious item,” she said as she carried the documents across the room. “I might have to confiscate it.”

Havok stared until her figure disappeared behind the door, then turned to Roy with a cigarette still in his mouth.

“How do you sum it up, Colonel?”

“I think you like it,” the young man replied. His eyes narrowed in thought before a faint smile appeared on his lips. He stood up, stretched and yawned. “You two get on with your work.” He opened the drawer, took out the car keys, and walked over to the door.

“And where is that going?” Falman asked, perplexed. A young man's voice came through the door that was about to close. "I'm going to use my free time as a colonel." His footsteps faded away in the same direction as Riza walked away.

“So the Colonel really gave that doll as a birthday present to Captain Hawkeye?” Ferry asked.

“Yes,” Havok laughed heartily. But Falman sighed wearily.

“Has anyone ever given Captain Hawkeye a birthday present like this before?”

“What normal person would do?” Breda asked. He called for all his subordinates in the room to nod in agreement.

And their boss is a normal man?

This is the first fic I've written in my life. From what I've been reading about other people for a long time. So I'm very excited. If anyone has read this, please add some criticism to give me encouragement to continue writing ^^

Long live!
