]New Year's gift from the captain]

By R Boat in the Ocean

For caravans traveling around the world, days, times, and seasons have little effect on the people on board. Because they can move between worlds. of imagination In some worlds it is winter forever. In some worlds, festivals occur during spring. And in some worlds festivals are held in the summer. They can teleport themselves around so they can celebrate the festival forever.

Or move so they don't have to deal with loud celebrations at all. They can eat as much tropical fruit as they want and their wallets allow. Or you can stop at the port city to buy winter clothes whenever you want. The New Year festival of the planet called Earth had no more effect on them than any other festival.

But there was one person who was excited like a child all alone.

“Captain, let me tell you first that we will definitely not hold a New Year's Day celebration.”

“Because it's expensive”

“What is the cost of the decorations?”

“Cake cost”

“And it causes us to have more work to do.”

“Ah,” the captain cooed. “I see everyone in the world cheering and waiting for this moment. We just keep on traveling. I've been working all year. There should be time to take a break and do something fun.”

“Have you only been working all year?” A voice interrupted the conversation. Everyone turned to see the lieutenant standing with his arms crossed. He stared at the captain with fierce eyes. “Who are you talking about who says you've only been working all year? As you can see here, there are more people who have been having fun all year. Let's hurry and go to work. The sun is about to set.”

When the deputy finished speaking Everyone had to bounce off each other in different directions. They all hurriedly grabbed whatever was in their line of duty and swept and mopped the mess. The captain saw the lieutenant standing with his arms crossed and staring with a fierce look in his eyes. He turned and walked away. Pretend to be a quick bird-watcher. The deputy looked at that picture. He lowered his arms across his chest and sighed. Walked back to his office.

For the next few days the captain huddled in the stern cabin. Close the door and never come out to play. The crew members went to ask the deputy with concern. What trouble is their red-head going to cause this time? He asked with concern. Did the captain eat something wrong so he didn't cause a disturbance? Oh, well, never mind.

I don't know how to tell it so that it looks good...

"Maybe you've gotten a new map?...Maybe you're studying it," the lieutenant speculated. “Maybe you will find new dimensions. That should be able to catch more birds.”

“Does this mean the captain works too?” the crew member asked in surprise.

The deputy frowned. Gently ask yourself that same question. He raised his head and said to the others, “Come on, if something happens, I will take care of it myself.”

The Deputy said that because he wanted others to Trust and don't worry. But the crew dispersed and said, “It's already dry. If the Deputy doesn't take care of it, who will take care of it?”

“I agree, the lieutenant has to take care of everything,” another crew member reiterated.

Second Lord looked at the picture and gritted his teeth. Suddenly feeling angry He crossed his arms over his chest. Try to stop yourself from running and catching these ignorant bastards and throwing them into the sea so that you know and survive.

The lieutenant walked to the room where the captain was holed up. He raised his hand to knock on the door. But the hand stopped in mid-air. young man thinking Use your fingertips to stroke the wooden door that has been polished until it is smooth.

Knocking first might give you enough time to hide the evidence.

young man holding his breath Turn the doorknob and push the door in without getting anyone inside caught off guard. But what happened stunned him. Because the door was sucked in as if it were opening a black hole. Outside air is quickly pumped into the room. himself if he does not hold the doorknob and door frame tightly.

would probably be snatched into the room as well The deputy narrowed his eyes and looked into the room through the strong wind. But the wind was so strong that he could hardly see anything.

The sound of kissing the playful person's mouth sounded twice. It's not good to knock on the door first.” The captain's deep, playful voice sounded in the wind. The lieutenant saw the gleaming red lines and the ship master's hair accessories fly past him. He was pushed out of the room. The door was pushed closed as if no force was needed at all. and the verse clicked loudly

The deputy looked at the door that had closed in front of him, leaning against the wooden door, gasping for breath, and asked, “What are you doing?”

“New Year's present <3,” the captain replied from inside the room.

The deputy took a breath. “Is it something that will give us a headache?”

“Of course not,” the captain's reply made the lieutenant think that something must have caused him to have a headache. He shook his head, striding towards the bow of the ship. Order everyone you meet along the way to make sure all leaks and patches in your ship are repaired as a precaution.

New Year's Day has finally arrived. The captain called everyone to the deck early in the morning. And he gave everyone one red gift box tied with a gold bow. "New Year's present"

Everyone cheered with excitement. Only the navigator sat down and leaned against the ship's hull. and nodded with the gift box he had just received in his hand. As for the deputy, he tried to hold the box as far away as possible, without much confidence.

Some of the crew shook the box and it was completely silent. The sound he heard made it feel like the box was empty. "What's inside, Captain?"

“There is something that everyone wants,” the captain said and smiled. “Try opening the box and you will find the things that each person wants.”

The first crewman opened the box. and cried with joy, "Wow, candy canes. How did Captain know I wanted them?"

"New Globe"

"shoe"

“Glue for repairing books The best kind in town.”

"money!"

"So you want money? Where are you going?"

Everyone started opening presents. A deafening sound rang out throughout the area. The navigator opened the box and found a pillow. So he put his head on his head and fell asleep.

While everyone was excited about the contents of the box The lieutenant looked suspiciously at his box. He still remembered the "how" to make the captain's New Year's gift. And does the captain know what he wants as a gift? He turned to look at the captain. and the captain turned and smiled at him. “Happy New Year. Damn you, Second Sir.”

“Happy New Year,” the deputy replied softly.

“Open the present,” the captain urged.

“Let's leave it after dinner,” the deputy replied, staring at the gift box. While thinking about something

After a slightly too long dinner on New Year's night The lieutenant brought a gift box and placed it on the ship's hull. and stared at it silently. The sky was already dark. The boat was floating some distance from the city, but the golden lights from the city could still be seen in the distance. The sea is pitch black. Occasionally there was a silver gleam. The sky is black, everything is dark and quiet...

“Huh, Second Sergeant, are you shocked?” The captain appeared behind him and broke the silence.

“...No,” a tired voice replied.

“Open the present,” the captain urges, smiling as he spins around. The deputy was excited.

“What is in the box?” asked the deputy.

“How about the thing that Second Lord wants?” The red-haired man smiled playfully.

“You know what I want?”

The captain didn't answer, just smiled. The lieutenant stared into the captain's eyes and spoke slowly.

“No, there's nothing in the box,” the deputy said, lightly tapping the lid of the box. “It only exists when someone opens it. The box will create what the opener wants. You never know who might want a new pair of shoes, a globe, or a candy cane.”

“Or money…” the captain replied.

“Yes, or money…” The second lieutenant stared at the sea, thinking of the saltiness of the sailors.

“That's an interesting trick. It's been a while since I've seen you use your powers to do something so nonsensical.” The Second Lieutenant paused and spoke again. “...No, this is nonsense anyway. When the Kraken appeared, why didn't I know how to fight? But instead, you used your power to do something like this.”

"Oh, don't hit me, you precious bastard, Than Rong, don't hit me, don't hit me."

(The above scene is violent and cannot be subtitled.)

The deputy sighed heavily. and restrained himself from beating the captain. He shifted his arms around his chest. and stared at the person in front of him tiredly before turning to pick up the gift box and handing it to

“Eh,” the captain was puzzled.

“I'm giving it to you. You're the only one who didn't get this gift box,” the deputy said. “You probably have something you want, right?”

The captain smiled, “Second Master, that's what I want. I have arrived. What I want is to see everyone on the ship happy with their New Year's gifts. Because...as I said, everyone has worked hard all year. And I need to take a break. Moreover, the deputy said it himself that I had been playing all year.

After all, I don't really need a gift, right?”

The lieutenant listened to the captain's words and remained silent. He moved the box towards himself. He thought that he should accept the gift that the captain had so generously given him.

“Then I want a ship captain who is diligent, doesn't delay work, and doesn't cause trouble. Don't waste money. Don't do nonsense, don't..." The deputy said softly. Pretend to open the box as well.

“Ah, how can you ask for that? That's the cruelest thing, Mr. Rong. Please give me the box back." The captain leapt in, snatched the box from the second, and opened it himself.

A bright golden light radiated from the box. A multitude of imaginary birds flew out of the box towards the library. The strong wind from the flapping of the birds caused the two of them to raise their hands to protect their eyes. It took a long time before all the birds flew into place. and the light will go out Only the empty box fell from his hand and lay on the floor.

“Is that what you desire most?” the deputy asked.

“That's right,” the captain said, smiling wryly. “Used Second Master's New Year's gift already.”

The lieutenant looked towards the library where there was a loud fuss as the crew members were puzzled by the sheer number of new birds, which meant that their workload had suddenly increased again.

“Let it be,” said the deputy. Suddenly, the black sky changed and beautiful colored fireworks that the townspeople had lit to celebrate the New Year were released into the sky. The sky was dotted with yellow, red, pink, green, and white in the shape of flowers and fire dragons. The crew ran out onto the deck to look. The deputy looked silently at the picture and muttered, “

This year, let's commit ourselves to another year."

The captain nodded. and turned to tell everyone in the boat, “This year, let's commit to another year.”

“Ah, please take care of me, Captain.” The crew answered the captain sternly. Only the navigator was sleeping in his bed and wondering why it was so noisy tonight.

And so passed the New Year's night on the caravan. The next morning of the following year There are still many things to keep busy every day as before. There was still a deck that needed polishing. There are also new imaginary birds. that must be taken to its place on the bookshelf And there's also the chaotic and cheerful captain. There is a deputy who is fierce and strict.

There were navigators laying around the walkway causing everyone to stumble. And there are still bright and strong crew members. It will probably continue to be like this in this new year and the years to come...

Well, everyone on the ship asked you to tell them. This year, I'd like to introduce myself to you again. Let's take care of the imaginary birds together. With Caravan Fantasy for another year, everyone!

Happy New Year!
