“What day is it today, Bear Dog?” my wide-eared Yoda friend asked. I thought for a moment before replying.
"Sunday?" When he heard my answer, he immediately choked.
Oh! So today is Sunday?
“Think again.” Chanyeol raised his head before looking at my face, waiting for an answer.
Mother's Day? Father's Day? Children's Day? Teacher's Day? Songkran day? Valentine's Day? What day is it!! I can't think of anything.
“What day is it?” I asked, and Chanyeol let out a sigh.
“I really don't remember,” Chanyeol asked again.
"Uh..I'm sorry but I really don't remember." I smiled sheepishly at him.
"Um..it's okay," Chanyeol finished and left the room, leaving me to sit and think about the question he asked again.
What day is it!?
I took out my smartphone from my pocket and clicked on Facebook and immediately entered my tall friend's timeline. When I clicked on it, I was met with a message posted on my timeline, which made Baekhyun's eyes widen slightly.
'Happy birthday, Chanyeol. I'm very happy.'
Shit!! Today is Chanyeol's birthday!! How could I forget my best friend's birthday!!
I walked out of the male dormitory and immediately dialed my tall friend.
"Hello Chanyeol, where are you?" I called into the phone as soon as the other end of the line picked up.
[Park] The other end of the line replied.
"You wait for me there, I'll go look for you," I finished and immediately walked towards the public park.
When we arrived, we met a tall friend who was sitting in a chair near the fountain. So I immediately walked towards it.
"Chanyeol..um, it's me..I'm sorry I forgot what day it is today." I said, lowering my butt and sitting next to him.
"..." He didn't say anything back.
"But I remember that today is your birthday, right? Haha, happy birthday, dear friend." I patted his shoulder, which was quiet......
"Thank you for still remembering." He turned and smiled dryly at me, who felt so guilty that he couldn't tell.
“Are you upset?” I asked back.
"No, please. Why would I be upset with you?” he replied.
"If you're not upset, just smile." I tilted my head to look at his face.
"^[ ]^" He smiled widely back at me. Made me smile along with it.
"What do you want as a birthday present this year?" I said. He turned to look at me before shaking his head.
“I don't want anything at all,” Chanyeol replied.
“Why?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Just having you beside me right now makes me very happy,” Chanyeol replied. My eyes widened at my tall friend's answer.
Will Chanyeol ever know that his answer makes this Baekhyun's heart tremble?
