I miss you, I miss myself.
Thinking about us What will it be like next?
And when I opened my eyes, it turned out to be just a dream.
So I went back. On that original route
Will you come back? No one can answer.
I'm aware
That it was just a dream
The people's footsteps walked aimlessly, but the point was to survive. The summer sun burned their skin, causing them to sting and make them thirsty. However, they still did not give up and did not give up the idea of continuing their journey.
A tall figure in a black leather vest with long dark brown hair falling to his face. His beard was a mess because he hadn't shaved it in several months while holding his personal weapon, a crossbow.
That image still lingers in my heart… when they traveled together… when someone took her away from him… when he met her again… when she left him again, never to return… And when she slept peacefully in his arms
I couldn't believe that she had left him…forever.
“Daryl,” the voice of Carol who was walking in front of him called him back to his senses. Daryl slowly raised his head from the ground. Look at the face of the person who called you with a calm expression as if you don't feel anything anymore. “Do you want to drink some water?” Carol said, handing him a bottle of water.
"No problem, I have it, thank you," Daryl declined. Carol nodded in acknowledgment and walked over, Daryl picked up his water bottle and drank. But before he could quell his thirst, the water in the bottle was empty. “Carol, tell Rick I'm going to get some water.”
Daryl said that and disappeared into the woods. He did this every time until it became normal.
Daryl walked through the woods, instinctively following the sound of running water as he kept his eyes on the zombies that might attack him. Daryl walked easily through the forest and finally found a stream of clear water.
Daryl filled his water bottle to the brim and kept it with him. He waved the water over his face and washed his face to relieve the heat before he went to sit with his back against a large tree nearby.
Daryl picked up a cigarette and a lighter and lit a puff of white smoke. He wanted to relax and take a break, just in case something good happened.
Why…why did she have to leave him? Even though they had actually met again… the pair of brown eyes began to darken as they thought back to that point again, drops of crimson blood scattered all over the ground, along with some bodies lying down in a steady heap.
Daryl extinguished the cigarette in his hand on the ground and left it there. He closed his eyes and the sounds of birds chirping and the sound of flowing streams lulled him into relaxation. His mind began to clear and he received a moment of rest after being stressed out for so long.
Daryl began to feel annoyed because the sounds of the birds and the stream had disappeared. How was it possible for it to be this quiet?
Daryl regains consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes. But that only made his consciousness even more blurred than before.
He stood here in the middle of a crowd divided between left and right. I want to emphasize that it is a person, a real person! Not a zombie! Everyone was wearing white, including himself, and this was also a church.
Daryl began to turn around. He turned to see the priest who gave him a kind smile, but to his surprise, it was…Merle Dixon. His brother was standing there!
Merle…wasn't dead? And how could he stand like this in his normal state?
Or will this be…the land of the dead?
But that thought was stopped when he looked to see Rick, Glenn, Del, T-Dog, and Tyreese standing next to Merle, and on the other side were Mookie, Carol, Chacha, and Michonne. Andrea and Lori stood.
“Do you have any questions, son?” the priest asked as he saw Daryl looking at the group behind him for a long time.
“Well…I wonder…what am I doing here and why did my group come…” Daryl's voice trailed off, his throat shaking with curiosity.
"Oh, don't you remember that today is your wedding day?"
Wedding day... wedding day?
“And behind you, father, are your two relatives and friends who are your bride and groom's friends,” the priest explained in a low voice. With a smile on his face, “You must be so excited that you're already blurry, right? Your bride has arrived.”
The priest said as he shifted his gaze forward. Daryl looked away from his group and immediately looked in the direction of the priest, he wanted to know who his bride would be.
“Your mistress is really beautiful, isn't she?” the priest said admiringly to Daryl, who just stood there staring at the small figure, unable to take his eyes off.
A small figure in a pure white long skirt, a white veil covering her face was on her head. Daryl couldn't clearly see who this woman was, but his heart was pounding excitedly as she walked onto Hershel's arm. Mickey and Beth's father Carl and Sophia walked towards him strewn with rose petals.
But since Mickey is standing behind here as a bridesmaid, then it means that the person walking here is…
"Not really…" Daryl muttered softly to himself. His pair of eyes stared intently at the figure of the bride who had taken her arm from Herschel and stood in front of him. Herschel turned and smiled at him for a moment.
“It's time to recite your prayers, son,” the priest said. Seeing Daryl standing silently for a long time, Daryl who had been staring at the bride was startled when he regained consciousness.
Daryl swallowed hard. before reciting the mantra he had heard when performing other people's wedding ceremonies before the world changed.
“I…I'm Daryl Dixon. I'm…um…” Daryl had to stop talking because he didn't know who his bride was!?
“…Bet Green.” That sweet voice sounded softly. Past the bride's veil into his ears, Daryl's eyes widened in disbelief but he continued.
“I…I am Daryl. Dixon asks for Miss Beth. Green is my wife, and I promise to be faithful to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health…to love and honor you to the end.”
“I am Beth. Green takes Daryl Dixon as her husband. And I promise to be faithful to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. To love and honor you until the end of my life.” That sweet voice spoke clearly, especially his name. She looked up and locked eyes with Daryl, whose heart was pounding loudly.
Why did he feel so happy and content?
“Is there anyone who would like to object?” the priest asked. There was only a quiet voice in response. “So, Mr. Daryl. Dixon and Ms. Beth Green were legally husband and wife and asked the bride and groom to place rings on each other and lift the bride's veil to kiss as a sign to their heavenly Father. With you.”
Daryl's hands were shaking. Daryl puts the ring he received from the priest on to the bride who also wore it for him. Reaching up, he lifted the bride's veil over her head. Revealing a pair of hazy blue eyes, golden-blond hair tied into a beautiful style, and her smooth, almost pale white skin, her sweet face was adorned with light makeup. It's not bold, but it makes her beautiful like an angel.
“Bet!?” Daryl called her name in confusion and longing. He didn't know how she was standing in front of him like this, but he was pleased that she was standing here with a smile on her face. go with happiness
“Kiss me, darling,” the sweet voice said. Before she could close her eyes and wait for his touch, Daryl looked at that face in fascination before he bent down and pressed his own lips to hers.
Sweet...just as sweet as I thought...Daryl moaned in his heart, he was so infatuated with her. So much that I want all of this to be true.
Or is this the truth? He wasn't dreaming.
Daryl knew this was a dream, Beth wasn't standing here. Bet has already left him. But even though he knew that it was only a dream, he wanted to reap as much happiness from this dream as possible for as long as he could imagine.
The sound of music filled the air at the reception after the wedding. Daryl stood in a corner amidst the music and the guests dancing or chatting happily, but Daryl was only interested. His bride was dancing with her friends on the dance floor with a smile and shy expression that made her dance look awkward. But it's very cute.
“Hi, little brother,” a voice called out and a hand touched his shoulder, causing Daryl to turn and look. He recognized exactly whose voice this was. Even though I haven't turned to look yet.
"Hi Merle, haven't seen you in a long time." Daryl smiled as much as a taciturn person could. Like he can do it.
“What are you talking about? We were still chopping wood together, weren't we?” Merle said sarcastically.
Merle still doesn't know, he still doesn't know how painful and lonely the real world is for Daryl right now.
“Huh! You should know what I like to say.” Daryl looked back at Beth, who smiled and waved.
"Hurry up, your girlfriend's calling," Merle warned, elbowing him in the arm.
“Can I give you a hug?” Daryl asked, turning to his brother who looked back with a puzzled look but smiled and spread his arms ready to hug him. Daryl didn't hesitate and immediately embraced his brother. “I love you.”
"I love you too, little brother." Merle patted him on the back before pulling away and rubbing Daryl's head until he lost his balance, as he liked to do.
“There's nothing else. I'm leaving." Daryl waved goodbye to Merle, who waved as well before walking out to his bride, who was waiting with a gentle smile.
"You and your brother are always so cute," Beth said, smiling. Daryl looked at her nervously and had to raise his hand to scratch the back of her neck to stop her embarrassment, "Let's dance."
Beth drags Daryl's arm to the center of the floor as the slow music plays softly in the background. Beth starts taking Daryl dancing but laughs when she finds out.
“Huh, you can't dance.”
“You should know. That my face didn't let me go that way," Daryl said, laughing. Something he rarely did.
“It's not that much. I'll teach you for a moment. You must be able to dance,” Beth said confidently.
"Really…? And what if I can't dance?” Daryl smiled mischievously at Beth, who looked up at him in amusement.
“It's up to you how you want to punish me, but there's no way. Because I'm sure you can dance.”
"Then we'll find out," Daryl smiled and began to awkwardly dance along with Beth. Sometimes Daryl would be the one to stick his foot in for Beth to step on. The two laughed almost every time that happened. It happened and Daryl was finally able to dance.
“See, you can dance now,” Beth said happily. Daryl stared down at his beautiful bride with a sly smile before leaning down and kissing her white cheek once more. “What are you doing?” Bae He stared at him with green eyes, but the skin of his cheeks had red marks on them.
“How about giving a reward or do you not like it?”
“An opportunist,” Beth said petulantly as she bounded over to her friends. Daryl looked behind her, a smile on his face.
Before Daryl knew it, it was after the wedding reception. After that, it was time for the two of them to go on their honeymoon, to travel, to go shopping, to do things that Daryl hadn't done in a long time. And then…and I don't think I'll ever do it again.
Daryl joins Merle as a mechanic again before the world became full of madness. Daryl felt an itch when he saw various equipment sitting next to the engine waiting to be repaired. Strangely excited, probably because he hadn't done it in a long time.
Until one day…
“Daryl,” Beth's voice called out as her slender finger tapped on Daryl's shoulder, who was watching television like every day. Her voice sounded like she was having some kind of problem, which made Daryl is also worried. “I have something…I want to tell you.”
“Is there something wrong? You look worried.” Daryl smoothed her blonde hair like he liked to do and wanted to do long ago… Beth stared at him for a moment before raising her right hand to show something in her… Show him your hand.
Two lines…red
“Bet, really?” Daryl's expression was filled with excitement. A smile appeared unconsciously.
Beth nodded and smiled at him. A smile and tears of joy were etched on her sweet face before they hugged each other.
Daryl took great care of his wife and child, Beth, from the time they were in the womb. Daryl tries his best to take care of Beth. Make it suitable for what he wants to do. I've always wanted to do it...
And at this point, Daryl began to realize that where He stood here… it wasn't the truth.
When Beth's due date arrived, her baby was born safe and healthy. Beth lay in a special bedroom bed, exhausted, while Daryl stared at his little son. His was sleeping as well.
They both looked happy...until Daryl thought back to his original point that if he took better care of Beth, he wouldn't have to lose her. Probably would have seen her smiling happily like this in the real world, being near her, taking care of her, being beside her. Protected her like he always did.
And now your lover is gone.
And you can only hope that you give everything as he can
Sorry...sorry that I couldn't take better care of you.
Please come back to me, I miss you.
I don't want to lose you again…Bet.
“Daryl, Daryl, why are you crying?” A sweet voice from the bed rang out in panic. Daryl wiped away his tears casually. Before revealing a slight smile and lifted the chair to sit nearby
“Nothing. I just looked at her face and the baby…” Daryl was speechless. He pursed his lips to hold back the tears that would fall again, “Let’s… name the child.”
"You better keep it up, I'll comment later," Beth said with a smile, reaching out to gently ruffle a strand of his hair. Daryl was silent for a long moment before speaking again.
“‘Black Rose Dixon’, do you think it is good?”
“Black Rose!? Is it a black rose? Why do you want to name it that?”
"...Because of the black rose," Daryl trailed off. “…What do you mean by eternal love?”
Eternal love...just like me and you
"I love you, Daryl."
“I love you too, Beth,” and I will love you forever.
“Hah!!!” Daryl suddenly woke up because something was holding his leg.
Zombies!!!
“Snap!” Before Daryl could fight the zombie in front of him, It bit his leg before he was too slow!
“Daryl!!!” Rick's voice rang out, along with the sound of a gunshot that slammed into the zombie's skull before Rick ran over to check on him, frantic. If you always have good conscience “You got bitten, I have to deal with your leg. But first, we have to get out of here before they flock again!”
"That's enough, Rick," Daryl's voice cut in. Rick stared at his friend in confusion but tried to get Daryl to get up and run out of here together.
"We've got to get going. Hurry, stay strong, Daryl!"
Rick said, slapping his face gently. He looked around frantically. But now his ears are ringing. The enormous strength he once had had disappeared and there was only one thing that still had an effect on his brain.
…Bet
I will… love you forever. Regardless, after this second I will still survive. Become a dead body or become a zombie, I will still love you… love you.
“Daryl!!!”
That was the last call before everything disappeared.
I miss you, I miss myself.
Thinking about us What will it be like next?
