Pure fantasy, no substance. 555
This fic was written purely based on the fans' feelings. What Wright imagines is that everything that happened from the first part until the end of the third part was just Wicked's experiment. (But flash fever really does exist.)
I admit that I have never read the book, only seen the movie. There are slight spoilers.
It had been three days since I'd woken up before I realized it was all just Wicked's crazy experiment.
past cruelty and loss never happened
No one died, everyone is alive and has recovered from the experiment.
Except for the person in front of me right now.
That still hasn't been revived...
I looked at the white face. Eyelids still closed, one hand gently touched soft blonde hair. The other hand held the other's hand.
That's right... Newt is the only one who hasn't recovered yet.
At first, I was really glad that he didn't die because of my decision to pull the trigger, but now anxiety and fear had returned to my mind again…
I'm afraid I'll lose him again...
I couldn't sleep and couldn't eat. The last time it was Minho who brought a tray of food into the room. He tried to get me to eat but it was no use.
“Please, can you please give me something to eat? Or at least lie down and rest for five minutes. You doing this won't make that guy revive faster.”
I couldn't answer, but held the cold hand of the person in front of me.
Minho would probably give in to my stubbornness. He sighed softly and shook his head.
“The doctor said he received too much medicine and it will take a while for him to recover… Take it easy, those termites won't die easily.”
I felt a light pressure on my shoulder. before disappearing with Minho walking out of the room.
Does he know that his words of comfort don't help me feel any better?
Another long time. How long will it take? When will we have to wait? It's been three days already. And if Newt doesn't wake up---
I stopped all my distracted thoughts by burying my face in the pillow next to the person who was still sleeping. I didn't know if it was because of exhaustion from not sleeping for three days or because of that familiar smell that made my eyes open. Closes easily
I fell asleep---after feeling like I hadn't slept in a long time.
The noise and commotion filtered through and gradually affected the ears of the tall person who was fast asleep. He moved his heavy eyelids at the sound.
And because of someone's missing scent
“Take him to the emergency room!!”
I woke up, my eyes wide with shock.
This… This isn't the same room I was in before Newt and I fell asleep…
Almost immediately, I rushed towards the door, opening it quickly with my heart pounding.
"Hey! Boy, calm down.”
The goal narrowly missed Alby but this was no time to worry about that.
"he! Where is he? Where is he?!!”
“Calm down, who's there---?”
“Newt!!!” I felt my face heat up and a thin curtain of water began to form over my eyes.
“…He is in the emergency room. The doctors are--- Thomas!!”
I don't listen to anything anymore. Both legs ran for their life. The blurred vision was made clear by rubbing his hand.
The letters engraved on the hanging plaque read: 'Emergency Room' made me turn right so quickly that I almost lost control, but I continued to speed up. You cannot waste even one second.
Bang!!!
The two doors hit the wall of the room, making a loud noise, but it had no effect on the people in the room who were currently bustling around the bed.

“There has been no response yet!!”
“Again!! One-two!!”
The sight made my breath hitch.
Newt was lying on a bed with a respirator over his mouth and a string of wires around him. The doctor was using a heart pump on him. The long, smooth sound of the signal sounded like it was slowly piercing my hair.
“Not in time...we couldn't save him in time.” Thomas nearly collapsed to the ground when those words came out of the doctor's mouth. Everything was calm. The nurse picked up a thin white cloth covering Newt's face and removed the wires around him. A man next to the doctor gestured towards Newt's bed.
"no! go out!! Stay away from him!!!”
Thomas rushed out to stop him. He pushed the man away and picked up Newt's body in a hug.
No one stopped Thomas. Because the doctor held out one hand to stop the others, he turned and nodded to the people around the room and everyone left the room. Only Thomas remains.
with Newt's lifeless body
Thomas cried, in front of Newt, the only person he could see crying.
He cupped Newt's face before pressing his own forehead against the other's now-not-warm forehead.
“Newt… please… we miraculously survived. Both me and you...
Do you remember the first day we met in the field when you stood looking at me from the top of the box and our eyes met for the first time? Remember the time we sat and talked by the fire when I started to fall in love with your smile... When you protected me at the meeting, when you listened to my plea. When you comforted me
When you said we would die together…
I'm very happy. I'm really happy to have you beside me. All this time That you comforted me That you protected me, that you did for me… So…”
Thomas's voice began to break into sobs. He suppressed the bitterness rising in his chest before continuing.
“Recover…Recover Sinewt…I have complied with your request. Now it's your turn to fulfill my request and revive me! Wake up now!!”
“…I love you, Newt.”
Thomas pressed his own lips against Newt's, the icy touch of his thin lips made it clear that there was no Newt anymore.
He didn't kiss Newt. But kissing a body that Newt no longer has
Warm tears fell onto his pale cheeks, drop after drop. The tall figure parted his lips before pulling the thin body into a hug. Bury your face in the little shoulder. of the person he loves and sobs
There was only the sound of sobs that could be heard throughout the room, breathing bodies and breathless bodies…
And the sound of some signals began to sound rhythmically again.
………..Tid……Tid……Tid…Tid Teed Teed Teed
How is that possible? The green signal came back on the monitor and he saw the nurse disconnect all the cables from Newt.
Thomas looked around at Newt.
small clear white line One line was still plugged into the front of Newt's wrist and it appeared to be connected to the machine that was emitting the sound.
This line must have been the last one that the nurse didn't have time to remove because Thomas went in to stop another man from pushing Newt's bed over.
“M… Doctor!! nurse!! Newt isn't dead yet!! He still has no eyes…!!!”
"Tommy"
Thomas stopped and turned to look at the figure in his arms.
His once pale face now had a lighter color once again. Dark brown eyes stared at him with confusion.
“Tommy… why am I not dead yet? Didn't you just shoot me---”
The words were cut off by Thomas's lips and he pulled away. Looking at the other's face with smiles and tears welling up.
"You're not dead, Newt. You're here with me and your Tommy... With everyone, everything was just Wicked's experiment. No one died, not Alby, Ben, Chuck, nor..."
A small hand reached out to cover Thomas' mouth as he was gathering his thoughts and putting everything together. Once he understood a bit, he released his hand.
“Very good.”
“That's right, we were just having a bad dream---”
“Tommy… I'm sorry.”
"...excuse me? What's the matter---it's better not to say anything at all. I'll call the doctor---”
“At that time, when I cursed you, hurt you, forced you to shoot me out of selfishness in wanting someone to end your own life… I knew how much regret and guilt it would cause you. But still..I want you to do it… I'm sorry, Tommy. I'm so sorry."
“...I did as you asked and you did as I asked, and here you are again. Come back to live with me. We are considered to have disappeared.”
Thomas smiled. Newt looked at him for a moment before closing his eyes---and smiling again.
"...Can you lower your head a little closer? I can't see your face clearly."
Thomas bowed his head politely. And once again, his and Newt's lips touched, and the two kissed with true feelings. With a body that still has a soul and breath, they kiss in the real world. Gentle but full of meaning
“…I love you too……
Thomas”
Teed--------------------------
“…No, no! Newt!!!Doctor!!! Nurse!!!”
Everything seemed more blurry than ever. Why was the signal ringing in Thomas's ears? Just now, Newt had returned to him. And now he's gone again...why Newt? Why not someone else? Or was it him instead? Why? Why? Thomas felt as if he had fallen into an abyss from which no one could lift him up. His thoughts were nothing but emptiness. And the blackness of sorrow had completely taken over his mind.
Thomas returned to the field with the corpse of the person he loved most standing there. In front of the cross at the front of the maze, on a row of walls, the neatly carved letters 'Newt' were crossed out…
Thomas didn't take anything of Newt for granted.
Except for the memories they shared, that was enough for him.
"Newt... whether we're together or not, remember that you're with me and I'm with you always.....forever."
The helicopter rose up into the sky to leave the maze, which made Thomas think even more of the day they left this maze, the day they were full of hope for survival. The day we were left with each other...
And now What does he have left?
Don't worry Newt, I'll do my best. I'll help you find a cure. Find a way to produce immunity I won't let anyone die, I'm sure I won't have Wicked destroy everything again. I will protect everyone for you… We will definitely meet again, so…
Wait for me...

TALK:
It's finished. The plot of this story comes from when we walked past Nai In's shop while going to the mall and there was...
Maze Runner: The Death Cure
Placed on the storefront shelf When I came home I thought about why Newt had to die. Can you not die? Especially in the movie. If it's not like the book, please help Newt. Haha.
Why did Newt die? The first thing is that even if it were a movie, the truth couldn't be avoided. The second thing is that I like Newtme. But the fic we wrote looks so shit, it's better to die.
Thank you to everyone who (wanted) to read.
